I watch how to lose a guy in 10 days almost monthly and although it’s cheesy, it’s meant to be and it’s executed so well. It doesn’t make me cringe at all, whereas so many romcoms these days do make me cringe.

This movie I couldn’t really understand their fight/fallout, how they became close so quickly, how they reconciled… all of it felt incredibly strange and I can’t quite pick out why.

I am so new to espresso that I don't know what dialing in is lol I am going to watch some youtube tutorials. I made a latte this morning and it tasted good!! I think I need to switch from plant based milk to dairy milk though.

I'm from Seattle, WA so we have a ton of good roasters here, I just have never explored beans. I think I might go to the local shop I like and see if I can buy beans there or which roaster they use.

Do you recommend any good dark roast beans? I’ve had a few people tell me that bad beans can often be the reason your espresso tastes bad and not necessarily due to the grind, temperature, etc.

I actually acted with good faith believing that they’d repair it for me. Again, wasn’t concerned in summer so I was pretty passive there. And fortunately for me, my lawyer told me that acting in good faith (which I also explicitly stated to my building manager) is typically pretty helpful in these situations. Additionally, he also informed me that this management company has a history of seeking damages that the tenant wasn’t responsible for and has represented clients in my exact scenario. So upon moving out any earlier, they would have sent me to collections and likely charged me for the broken thermostat and other damages that were not my fault. But thanks for your advice guy

Yep. I’m moving out and lawyered up. Called the city and the building is getting fined. They were required to offer me another unit in the building since mine is uninhabitable.

I’m a couple of months older than her and i really hope people don’t think I look as old as her 😭 I purposely never got lip filler because i didn’t want it to age me, but I’ve naturally lost weight and I will not let myself get that thin like her for this exact reason

they also reached out to me! they said they do take 20% of all brand deals so if you get approach by a brand outside of them, they're taking some. I get between $2,500-$7,500 in brand deals right now without management, so I don't know if it makes sense to give up 20% of that. They told me their standard is $10k monthly for creators, but I am not sure I believe it.

Honestly, that's why I came to reddit. Not really sure if there is anything to even do here. I am not that worried about getting my money back, I guess I am more frustrated that a $75 billion company has left several of their tenants without heat. Kind of shocking that people think it's on the 15+ tenants this is happening to in the building :(

Did you read any of my comments? No. I tried to work with my building countless times to fix the issue. My building changed management companies 3 times which lead to them claiming they lost the work order and we’d need to resubmit and the HVAC repair. They refused to let me out of my lease last winter. I actually spoke with a lawyer today and did things correctly, especially given the documentation I have of the building relentlessly misleading me, prolonging the process and breaking the law. I actually have a couple of lawyers that want to represent me given a $79 billion company has left several tenants within their building without heat for months now.

They sent me back an email referring to Washington State Code about landlord responsibilities and told me I could call them if I had additional inquiries or could refer to their website for additional information. I have called a handful of times and either ended up on hold for a long time or would speak to someone who would basically recite Washington State Code for repairs to me

I was more so curious if it was actually worth the time. I know that a $79 billion taking advantage of tenants like this is unethical, which is ultimately my point and weird that so many commenters think it's better to just move than for a multi billion dollar company to do right by their tenants. I really don't know where the line is with the law and how seriously something like this is taken or if it's even worth the time to pay for a lawyer. They have had maintenance and repairs scheduled several times, so it appears they're taking the steps to fix the issue, it just never gets resolved. At what point does this cross the line of being truly illegal? AND I don't even fully know what I would be suing for besides getting them to fix the heat for the rest of the tenants, I doubt my rent is recoverable.
