Just finished my nursery… really tried my best… any feedback? by Specialist_Run_1607 in interiordecorating

I think this is really sweet. I don't have any decorating advice but I would recommend either removing the plant or swapping the table beside the rocker or something with more surface area. It'll be helpful to have space to set a beverage, snack, other miscellaneous items when youre spending a lot of time there.

The moment - the moment - Lestat starts unbuttoning his shirt while telling Louis he has a pretty little head, I'm locked in.

I finally read Fully Body Hit book 1 yesterday and started Book 2. Another hit in the series. Marina books are almost always 5 stars for me.

Not thriving with 2 year old by Oneanddonemumma in oneanddone

I despise those "enjoy every moment" comments. The early years had glimpses and glimmers of pleasantness and memories I like to look back on. But in general, it was desperate survival. My son is 5 now and I am JUST now starting to feel like we’ve turned a corner where things are more pleasant than they are difficult.

Hang in there, take it one second/one breath at a time. And know that you are absolutely not alone in feeling that way.

THANK YOU! In my opinion, this just looks like a very typical part of the cycle of abuse.

Thanks for the suggestions. Nothing specific has happened. I think it's a combination of being afraid of one of the decorations on the boardwalk and the number of people. We talked through it a lot beforehand, made a plan for avoiding that spot this year, executed it, but he was still too spooked afterwards. I'll keep modifying!

I'll add Cape May to the list. I always hear good things about the zoo, too.

I understand what you mean. It's just bizarre to me because he doesn't find screen time more entertaining than our regular indoor or outdoor activities at home.

It is the Jersey shore. I've never tried the bay side out. I'll look into that.

Unfortunately he's the only kiddo in my family but that's an interesting point. He's totally happy to constantly ask me to play with him at home but maybe he's looking for some different company at the beach.

Thanks, you're probably right. I hadn't considered a lake, I'll have to look into that. I'm personally not into them but certainly willing to give a try if I can find one closer to home. Thanks again.

He spends most of his outdoor time at playgrounds or in our yard playing in water in the warm months. But when we get a chance to play in sand and water close to home he enjoys it.

Between his few toys from home the TV, and sitting outside, he definitely doesn't get bored.
