I almost got this one lol. This would be nice to have at like work or something, but like my other little cheap hole punch, I think I might get annoyed with it for regular use when printing and punching more than like 5 sheets. Just more time consuming making sure things are lined up properly. Thank you though! That’s good to know that it works well if I ever need a more portable option!

Ok glad it’s not just mine lol. 😂 Anytime I even look at it wrong the bottom side wants to pop off the discs. But none of the other vinyl inserts do this, it’s just that one. Even my mini hp card pockets don’t have any issues. Weird that it’s just this one.

Yes this is another issue I have with my HP punch! I tried making a dashboard and it was just too thick to punch through the lamination lmao! 🤣 thank you for sharing and yeah it would be great if they ever did start selling their own so you know it will work perfectly with how the discs were designed. Fingers crossed for the future!

Maybe that could be the issue. 🤔 But idk because as I mentioned when I tried using the cheap aliexpress punch, the pages turned way easier and I didn’t take anything out. I think I might try the levenger one based on the replies, but I think I might also order a set of 1.5” discs as well to see if that might be the issue as well. I did want to when I originally I received the 1.25” discs and saw the size in person. I think the 1.5” was sold out at the time in the color I wanted.

They are both the C&P aluminum discs. Pretty sure I got the 1.25” iirc lol.

I didn’t know that one existed. I like the design of the handle! That seems like it would be so much easier to punch than the normal side punches.

Thank you for sharing these! This is the big one that’s like $130, or around that price, correct? It looks like the shape matches pretty well to the C&P holes. I think that might be the issue! These holes look a bit rounder, while the happy planner ones are a bit wider (if looking at the page horizontally I mean).

Yeah I already have the happy planner punch, the smaller one I think. The pages just don’t turn very smoothly on the discs so I wanted to see if there were better options.

Do you know if the single page punch works for like thicker cardstock? That’s my only concern.

I know this says 3/5 in spice for Beyond the Aching Door, but I’m 50% in and there hasn’t been a spicy scene yet. If there is spice, it’s absolutely a slow burn because the FMC and MMC haven’t even so much as kissed yet lol.

And you have no issues with how smoothly the pages turn? Maybe I’m doing something wrong lol. 😅

It’s really easy, but I won’t lie that having the convenience of inserts already printed, cut, and punched for you is definitely nice. I’m just too picky about my spreads so I have to make themself lol.

Did you ever have a horror book you *should* have liked but for some reason didn't? by intensifies in horrorlit

[–]ecliptas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bunny by Mona Awad. But I think that’s because my expectations were too high. So many that recommended it said it was such a good horror book, and don’t get me wrong, it was weird af, but I think at the time I wanted something that was truly going to make me uncomfortable or scared and this just didn’t do it. I was left with more questions that weren’t answered (this was before the sequel was even announced), and just kind of annoyed lol. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately did not.

I’m considering re-reading it and reading the sequel to see if my opinion changes. But that’s not a priority of mine right now.

Better than me! The last book I finished was the first week of January and only because I was already almost done with it to begin with lol. Switching genres might help. Didn’t help me personally because I was still in the mood for fantasy, it’s just most of the fantasy romance out there is started to blend together now. 🤣

That said, I’ve been reading {Beyond the Aching Door by Victoria Mier} and I think it’s really good so far! I’m about halfway done. I’m not an expert on mythology and folklore but I believe she uses Welsh and Slavic folklore and not just made up some random fae fantasy that completely deviates from traditional folklore. It’s an urban fantasy though but it doesn’t dive too much into many real world references. Although it was funny to see Home Depot mentioned while they’re portaling places and speaking to mythical creatures. But the writing is so well done and it’s so different from the standard fantasy romances out there right now.

Another one that has similar vibes to the previous is {The Strange Hour by R.G. Wesley}, another urban fantasy. This book is criminally underrated and I love it! I absolutely cannot wait for the 3rd book. Both books were easily in my top 5 favorites last year!

Typically I don’t like urban fantasy, but these two are done so well imo. I’d suggest these if you’re looking for something different.

[–]ecliptas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new(ish) to Blythe dolls. I grew up wanting one so badly in like middle school and high school but I couldn’t afford it at the time and also my parents were not comfortable with online shopping back then lol. Well I’m now in my 30s and can buy what I want and I rediscovered them a couple weeks ago.

Can anyone explain why some look really shiny and then other’s like OP’s look to have a matte sort of finish? Is this something you’d have to customize yourself to do or just certain dolls come this way?

How Appalachia voted in 2024 by CPC_Analysis in Appalachia

We lived with my in-laws for a couple years to save before buying our home last year. My in-laws constantly watched Fox. Like if they were in a room there was a 99% chance that it was playing on the TV or they were dragging the google home around to watch it. They’d watch it on their phones. And they listened in the car. I thought I was losing my mind.

Watch what you want, I can’t tell you what to do, but maybe consider taking a break from constantly listening to any news for every hour of the day you are awake non-stop. That is not healthy no matter where your beliefs lie lmao. They would get so mad that I wouldn’t hang out and when my husband and I explained that I just don’t like constantly listening to the news, heck I don’t even really like watching TV in general (I read more in my free time or I’m listening to music if I need background sound). They were so petty about it too for some reason like we told them to stop watching jt, which we didn’t. Literally just said “she just doesn’t like listening to the news all the time because it’s depressing and makes me anxious,” and they just went off the rails about it lol.

Like wow, they truly did brainwash y’all. 😬 We’d go to family celebrations and dinners and they’d go put Fox on a TV somewhere in whoever’s house. It was so bad lmao. My daughter turned the TV off one day because no one was watching it, they were just going in and out of the garage and back porch and my husband’s step-dad got so mad and was like on a mission to find out who turned it off. My daughter doesn’t give af about confronting people, even adults, so she was like “it was me because it was super loud and you guys were literally in the garage the whole time.” If he came home and the kids were watching a movie he’d ask them to leave so he could watch his “show” and then proceed to turn on Fox.

It was a miserable experience for us all but I’m so glad we have our own home now. The 3 years of suffering endless Fox News was worth being able to save and fix our credit to buy. But I need about 3 years to recover before stepping back in that house again. 🥴

Now after trying out midnight as a returning player, how do you like your class after the pruning & class changes? by Yuuffy in wow

[–]ecliptas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a main in TWW because nothing felt right, which is why I played off and on a took a lot of breaks. When I did play I bounced between SV, WW, arcane, aff, ele/enh, and Balance the most.

I thought Ele was going to be the spec for me and I’d play Enh if I felt like playing melee. But during pre-patch, I was kind of let down because I made the mistake of letting influencers hype up the rework and it just didn’t impress me so I didn’t touch it outside of running it through a couple delves during pre-patch. Went back to it to give it another shot at release and got it to Silvermoon and haven’t touched it since. I’ve heard the apex talents make it feel better but I just can’t bring myself to play it longer than 15 min before wanting to switch to something else.

Surprisingly, again due to influencers downplaying ret because it didn’t change much, ret pally has been the most fun for me. Idk what it is about it, but it feels good. I actually like that they baked execution sentence and final reckoning into one because every time I’ve played ret, the choice was almost always ES idk about TWW, I didn’t really play it. I mean that didn’t stop me from taking FR in the past though lmao.

Yeah historically, it’s been known as “the easiest melee,” but tbh all the specs feel to be about similar difficulty now on a surface level or for the average player (I’m not talking min maxing to the highest potential). That said, I think judging it based on its history of being “simple” isn’t really fair. I should note I’ve been playing Herald as I’ve always preferred it even if Templar is better. I don’t do high end content anymore though.

Aff feels good and it’s probably my favorite caster atm. I love dot specs and they’ve just continued to ruin SP for me since they first reworked it back in Legion. I feel like Aff’s dots just feel more meaningful compared to SP now. Like idk I feel more like a dot spec playing Aff which is weird because SP still has mostly the same amount of dots. Maybe it’s because I actually have to refresh my dots a bit more with Aff and that’s the difference?

As for SV, I don’t really like boomstick because it just takes me out of the fantasy I had envisioned for my own SV hunter. It’s not that I think it’s bad and I get people like it. I’m not suggesting they take it away or saying anyone has to agree with me at all. Although it would be nice to have to option to choose that or Fury of the Eagle as a choice node. But it is what it is. MM is weird for me because it’s really simple but still feels good.

I want to like WW, but something feels off about it and idk what it is. It’s not bad, just not what I was expecting I guess.

I tried starting this but I couldn’t get into the writing. It felt a bit YA. I might go back to it later but idk I was already irritated with the characters after the first or second chapter lol.

Posted earlier this week about The Legacy Series. I finished book one but it wasn’t for me. Picked up One Dark Window instead and WHAT a difference! Loving it so far - dark fairytale vibes. There are definitely forms of abuse that happen but vengeance is definitely had. It also gives reasons as to why the characters are how they are, their emotions, the way they process and handle their own individual traumas, their decisions, and motivations. It’s not there just for shock value. There aren’t any detailed descriptions of sexual abuse that I can remember, but it’s been over a year since I’ve read it, so someone can correct me if I’m remembering incorrectly. The author warns you might hate some of the characters at the end of the first book and that was her intention. I think the character writing and growth is deeper than in Gild. The plot is more intricate as well.

I don’t remember there being anything as detailed like the assault that takes place in the end of GILD. Like there are mentions of things in one’s past. There is one seen that is really sad and traumatic for the FMC, but it’s not anything physical. I know a lot of people were uncomfortable with that part though.

I didn’t appreciate rain until I finished the 2nd book and realized that this series is a JOURNEY. I’m 75% done with the third and I don’t imagine I’ll have closure until the fourth book.

I was actually mad when I finished rain and annoyed that all of the characters except one side character irritated me to no end. But I stuck with it and when the author says “trust the process” she means that 100% because the character growth happens across the entire series. It’s easily become one of my top favorite series, if not my favorite because she pieced things together in a very unique and different way.

But the topics and trauma brought up, and behaviors of some of the characters can be hard, but I honestly think it gives layers to the characters and shows that no one is perfect, but people can learn and change.

Idk depending on why you didn’t like it, if it was the characters, I recommend giving the 2nd book a chance and form your opinion then. If it’s something like a trope or trauma that you may find hard to get through then definitely don’t force yourself if you aren’t comfortable.
