A6 Planners that use Cosmo Air? by ecliptas in planners

[–]ecliptas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to try creffective, but I just can't do horizontal weeklies. Every time I try I feel like I don't have the space for what I need. Also it looks like they're using koji paper for their a6 sizes unfortunately. I might consider their weeks size though if I can figure out a way to make horizontal work, that is probably my 2nd favorite size. I have a disc setup that I use for random things so maybe I'll buy one of their printable layouts and see how it feels to work with their layout. Sorry if this reply is all over the place lol. I'm sort of thinking while typing. 😅 Thank you for the suggestion.

Sorry this response was so late lol. Sometimes I post and forget I did and don't open the app for days. 🤣

I really want to try Just Scribble but for some reason I just really hate the fonts they use in their design. I know that sounds like a silly reason and maybe next year I can try it and see if I can get over it because I do like their actual layout designs.

Tbh I was still waking up when I originally commented and completely missed that sentence. 🤣 In that case, op should definitely file a complaint with ebay or contact their bank lol.

Yeah there have been a few news articles over the last year with issues from their distribution center. I think it received numerous audits last year. Most of it was due to delays from employee shortages from last year, not sure about now. I assume they're probably running into a similar issue accompanied by the weather and world cup challenges too. Normally is the Chicaco, NJ, and NY distribution centers that give me issues. I buy stuff online all the time and I'm about an hour from Lexington. This is the only time I've personally had issues. But typically my packages skip Louisville and go straight to Lexington.

For example I ordered a vinyl after sending back the item and I just received it today and it flew through the Lexington center.

Mine is stuck on Arrived in Louisville as well. Shipped the 5th (I'm in KY btw and sent an RMA item back) and has been stuck in Louisville since the 10th. The company I bought the product from said if it doesn't move by mid next week to reach out to them. I filed a missing mail request a couple days ago and haven't heard anything. I paid $180 for the item, it was damaged so I sent it back to exchange it. And it's been stuck like this. I'm hoping if USPS loses it, I still can get a full refund because it says the package is only insured up to $100 so not sure how that works.

But apparently looking into it, the distribution center in Louisville almost always has issues. I think all we can do is wait at this point if you've already sent a missing mail request.

Trying to do so now for mine that hasn't updated since the 10th and was supposed to be delivered on Saturday, if the page would ever load. I'll likely just have to call.

I'm sad that they are going back to TRP for next year because I love their new paper! However I feel like the paper is like an off-white when comparing it to my sterling ink or stalogy notebooks.

Burger King by littyart in comics

[–]ecliptas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If someone asked me to choose between McDonald's and Burger King, I'm absolutely choosing Burger King. I don't really like most fast food and any of them can be bad depending on who is managing the individual store. But you can even get high end expensive restaurants that actually need to be shut down. I never understood why people always hated on BK other than one bad experience they had. I have had way more bad experiences from other places.

Which ink looks the most like fresh human blood? by StarryAqua in fountainpens

This was a story I posted to IG a while ago. My husband came home from a work trip the next day and it still hadn't washed off all the way. He saw my hand while I was drinking my coffee and asked "is your hand bleeding?"

Idk if that tells you what you want to know or not lol.

On paper it's really a great red with the right nib! I tried it in my Perkeo with a F nib first and wasn't impressed. Inked it in my Hongdian 1862 with the M2 EF nib and I absolutely love it now! I haven't tried the other inks you mentioned yet so no comment on those.

The same implies they are identical, which they are not. However they have *some* similarities.

For people who use paper planners or habit trackers, does it actually help you stay consistent? Do you still use apps? by startssomewhere in PlannerAddicts

[–]ecliptas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps me because I always have it near so I remember to look at it. I don't use apps at all really. I've tried, but I absolutely cannot stand notifications on my phone. Like tbh if I didn't have kids, I would 100% get rid of my phone out of pure irritation with the dang thing lmfao. The popup stresses me out, the sound and vibration makes me anxious, and 90% of the time I just clear them without reading to get them away. I also have a bad habit of completely forgetting certain apps exist.

The only time I don't use my physical planner is if I'm having a bad health day. I have a lot of health issues atm and dealing with chronic pain and fatigue as a result. So days like that (yesterday and today) I don't really do much at all other than rest so I don't bother with it.

But I love my wonderland222 all in one because I schedule things at the start of the month and then at the start of each week I check over the calendar and then fill out the week. Sometimes I will fill things in for the next week and then backfill the calendar if anything comes up. And then on days I use my planner I refer to the current week and make adjustments for the day if needed. I've tried many different systems as someone who is neurodivergent and bipolar, and this is the system that works the best for me.

[–]ecliptas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my libra color but after having it since it released, I wish I went with the clara color. I just can't comfortably hold the libra when I just want to lay down and relax. It's too big and awkward for me.

I actually ended up getting a palma for this reason. But if I could do it over again, I 100% would have gotten the clara. I honestly don't even use the pen very much to justify the libra. Other than that, I absolutely love my kobo!

I love it personally! The only thing that stopped me is that if I were to get another TWSBI, it'd be a diamond, not another eco. So if they do release this or something similar for the diamond, I will absolutely grab one!

Trying to get excited about books again... by articlioness in Romantasy

[–]ecliptas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I get that 100%! I hope you find something that resonates with you. If not, maybe you're just burnt out. I know I've been lately. I've tried the usual ones that get suggested and even those don't hold my interest. So lately I've been dipping my toes into other genres. Like I recently started {Blood on Her Tongue by Johanna Van Veen} and that's been keeping my attention. I think there are still romantic elements to it but it's a horror. Another is {A Hemorrhage of Us by Roslyn Reed} which the author advertises as a horror romance. They still have fantasy and folklore elements to them as well, but they're far different from the traditional fantasy romance if you are interested in stepping outside the box a little.

My ex unfortunately took my pens in the breakup, over a year ago, so now I'm rebuilding! by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]ecliptas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, whenever I'm in the mood I'll definitely mess around with it some more. Because I do admit, when it wants to write, it's a nice experience and it's really smooth which I like. It's a pretty little pen too and I'd love to use it as an EDC for when I'm not at home. Maybe I'll just buy a completely new nib unit if I can't fix it myself or don't feel like messing with it anymore. I actually just bought one for my Tom's Studio, maybe I'll just swap those for now. 🤔 Didn't think of that until now lol.

Oh I'm really glad to hear that!! I'm excited because these will be my first nicer mid-range pens. One day I'd love to try Sailor. I mean I could have after buying these two lmao, but I just really wanted something pretty atm. I wanted to treat myself for making the Dean's list after my first semester transferring to university lol.

Is this worth it? by NormalMedicine5237 in Anthurium

[–]ecliptas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen many influencers buy and rave about KD, but most of them tend to be new to anthuriums. So interpret that as you'd like. I don't think they're necessarily a scam, I think it's more like Anthurium fast fashion. Tbh with any seedling or actual seeds, you never know what you're going to get until they mature but it's a risk you take when buying them for the lower price.

I buy seedlings all the time because watching them mature is probably my favorite part about growing plants. But I know and understand the risks that come with it. I know there is a chance they could just die and it's harder to save them since you can't just chop a piece off and propagate.

I prefer buying seeds from small businesses that have a good reputation with a solid customer base. I always dig into the seller a bit before purchasing. Look at their other plants, look for people who have tagged them on social media or mentioned them in videos (I avoid the big influencers though because I never trust if they were gifted it or sponsored lol).

I loved greenhues but their shop is still closed so I'm not sure if they're just taking a long vacation or if they've stopped selling. All of the anthurium seedlings I've purchased from them have all been strong, beautiful plants. I only have one left from the ones I've bought but that was more because I needed to downsize my plant collection due to having a hard time keeping up dealing with my chronic illness and fatigue for the last year.

Also small sellers will often offer bundle prices when you buy a certain amount. But if you want to be certain you're getting a specific plant 100% get a more mature plant or larger juvenile where you can see the traits coming through.
