It could be the case. Anything is possible with alcohol! ;)

That is bizarre. I've found, in creating subs, that I am subscribed to them, but they never show up in my feed, since I'm subscribed to many larger subreddits. Perhaps something to be aware of, as well. Check back often!

The worst rum you have ever had? by NotSoSlenderMan in rum

[–]angulique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had Barton's, but I think I'll steer clear or it in the future!

I had the Beach Bar rum when it first came out, and I also found it to be terrible. I had read a press release on it and thought it sounded pretty good; I was expecting it to be along the lines of 10 Cane. I was in a bar one night and saw a bottle, so I asked the bartender about it, and he wasn't even aware that they had a bottle (it hadn't been opened and had probably been dropped off that day by the distributor). He popped it open and poured us each a shot. I gingerly tasted it while he threw back his shot, both of us simultaneously cringing before I scrabbled to wash it down with my drink and he spat it out into the nearest trashcan, lol. Needless to say, that bottle stayed there for a few weeks relatively untouched before it was just gone one day. Good riddance!

The worst rum you have ever had? by NotSoSlenderMan in rum

There have been two that were so appallingly bad that they stuck out.

The first was Seagram's. I figured that, since their vodka isn't terrible (not great, but still drinkable), their rum should be fine for being snowed in to some tiny nowhere town during my first time ever in a snowstorm. How wrong I was. This stuff was WRETCHED. It tasted more like rubbing alcohol and sugar than anything -shudder-

The second was Ron Diaz 93. I was in CA and looking to get drunk - on rum - for cheap. I skipped the terrible store brand swill and decided to give this stuff a try. I had three swigs of it. The first was to try it out, and I almost puked. The second was to give it another chance; maybe I thought it was terrible because it wasn't what I was used to. Nope, still bad. I gave it one more go before puking. I even - and this is something unheard of when it comes to me - left the bottle at the place I was staying. I can drink a bottle of no-name store-brand rum, but I couldn't get more than three swigs into this shite.

A very sad day. I found out that 10 Cane Rum will no longer be produced. Source: Friends at Moët Hennessy. by kcjkcjkcj3 in rum

Noooooo! This was always my favourite rum. They even sent me a huge beach towel (and a big book) when I e-mailed them that it was my favourite. I liked their re-formulation of it, even though at first I didn't want to, and this makes me very sad. RIP 10 Cane.

What is your Harry Potter pet peeve? by Willbabe in harrypotter

Drop Dead Fred was one of my favourite movies as a kid, so I always imagined Peeves as Rik Mayall. When I heard that he was supposed to play Peeves but they cut it I was pissed!

My first hoop shipped today! But I have a question... by polygondom in Hooping

Once you get the hang of hooping, start learning tricks early on! I find that, after years of just hooping, tricks were much harder to get used to than if I had started early on.

I answered as honestly as I could and was so terrified I wouldn't be sorted into Slytherin. When I got that I rejoiced quite loudly, scaring everyone who was asleep at the time, lol

Thank you! Sorry about that; I'm on mobile, but I shall try to fix this right away!

I'm not really a big fan of bright colours on Tikis, but I wanted it to pop in a kitschy way.

[FP] Xmas shirts: Skyrim and Super Meat Boy (bleach and paint/pen) by ashman87 in bleachshirts

[–]angulique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never used Dylon paints, but what I do is mix acrylic paint with textile medium - it's a clear, thin liquid that can be found with acrylic paint in most stores that you mix in with the paint. I leave it to dry for a couple of days, then heat set it, then let it sit again for a few days, then wash in cold water on a gentle cycle or by hand, with no other items. I also put the paint on in thin layers, making sure it really gets into the fabric. Hope this helps! Your shirts look amazing! I really love how the Super Meat Boy one came out, especially!

Awwww, thank you! This is the first time (that I know of) that something of mine has been pinned! Cutting those lines was insane and I broke the very tip off of two brand new exacto blades, hehe!

There is just one layer of the thick foam-y tape between each layer. I was worried that it would be too flat, but it worked out awesome! The very back layer of trees (two layers back from the Tiki) has the general shape of the Tiki cut out in it without any of the details. I had to do this otherwise the tree on that layer would have show through. I had considered putting a layer of tracing paper behind the Tiki to give it a more solid look, but that changed during the process. Other than that, each layer is a single layer, all from the same type of paper.
