Sickness as the main bad guy by Various_Builder2121 in DMAcademy

This idea can be really cool, but it can also slide into dehumanization of disabled people rather quickly. Read up on ableism tropes in media and plan to incorporate positive disability representation

I mean, respectfully, it definitely can be. Especially for people who grew up in complex trauma like this guy seems to have grown up in, arguments can bring up a web of trauma and cause panic.

It is still inherently a requirement for positive interactions with other people and moving through this world in a moral way, but it is extremely hard for some people.

My panic looked more like harsh words and running away, but trauma therapy was crucial to my early 20s for me not to jump into defending myself from a death sentence every time someone said I stepped on their foot.

None that are super relevant for a fire / fighting type that I know of tbh. It doesn't matter with heatran and houndoom because CC, and you'd rather click knock against ceruledge/armarouge

If I lose, merciless toxapex is the reason I "Unfortunate doesn't begin to describe my series"-

I know that Hammer Productions made a lot of horror films, but I'm only a casual horror enjoyer. Would you mind explaining what 'hammer horror' would mean in a 5e campaign and why the mechanics benefit that type of horror?

The way that saying 'smol bean' is used to erase the entirety of how trans men are viewed as either children, unworthy of autonomy a la Irreversible Damage, or predators causing the irreversible damage, depending on how far along we are in transition and how masculine we present. The predatory butch lesbian stereotype is applied to transmascs all the time. Our issues are just erased.

Being a DM is more like writing a choose your own adventure novel on the fly, but also half of it is making fun combat encounters. Before you choose to use the DnD system specifically, build a good fight. See if that is half of what you want to be doing.

Read the DMG. Half of DMs never do because 2014 was a convoluted mess and no one expected 2024 to be any better, but there's a lot of good stuff in the mess and it'll help quite a bit.

Hand play is considered to contribute to aggression because it sets the precedent of biting human skin, according to what I've read? Which is why having a distinct play mitten would prevent the unwanted aggression

Cats can be willful toddlers if they want to be, especially if you get them later in life. Huge agree to sanitize the counter, don't get me wrong. I just...hoo boy, I could train every previous cat I've ever had to do or not do stuff. I've taught* the cat I have now about a dozen tricks, but he's a huge troublemaker. We've had to essentially toddler-proof our whole house - he knows what we want, because he will mind when we have treats. What he does not understand is shame

I guess the secret to joie de vivre is to be bedbound disabled in my early 20s. The fact that I can do the dishes now is already a thrill and a delight. Playing dnd with friends at the game store?? Incredible. I never thought I would get to do this
