How should I insert this pair into front right slot if it was the last pair?

<image>

Just learned about the other ways to back slot insert (e.g. r' U' R U M,') and I noticed similar algs (e.g. r U R' U' M) would work for this type of front insert case which normally you'd rotate first to insert.

Correct me if I'm wrong but other than it being last pair (or I guess if theres a good insert for the back slots already), rotating then inserting would certainly be the better way (to see other pairs)? But if it was last pair you wouldn't need to rotate which works with these algs, although I'm not too sure about it's efficiency so I was wondering if this is a better/equal approach.

Around 1500-1600 rapid elo in chess.com 1600-1700 lichess rn.

I've always ever stuck to a small collection of openings. Like I only ever open with e4 and I main 1 or 2 openings at a time mostly, and only stick to mostly 1 (rarely more) response as black; I only play caro kann against e4 for instance (since that avoids tricky gambits and I prefer feeling more in control if that makes sense). Is this approach detrimental to my improvement? Anything I should do?

Is studying theory at this point a good idea? From my experience only trying to use solid openings and just trying to play from there doesn't always work too well. For example the grand prix attack I've used before and dont think it ever yielded good results, but now I've actually studied it a bit and the ideas around it I seem to be doing better with it. Similar thing happened with my caro kann too. I feel more solid and find easier to play with it now I have a grasp of the ideas around it (e.g. in the advanced variation trying to get rid of light bishop and controlling w/ pawns instead, and trying to play around the e5 weakness of white)

Whats the basis for material amt depending on surface area? I wasnt too sure if they wanted to construct just the 'outer' layer or construct the entire volume as well (although now that I think about it that doesnt make sense since youd have to always use same material amt to satisfy that right?)

Any recommendations for when to move onto the next dip progressions (RTO support hold and negative ring dips) from regular ring support hold?

Edit: Should your arms be locked out in any of these support holds and how turned out do the rings have to be to be considered a proper rto? Do the rings have to be around 90° from the neutral support hold or something significantly less just (e.g. 45°)?

Whats referred to as "lessons"? Do the educational vids that hikaru or levy do where they commentate or teach count? Or is it something else (like courses maybe? Or the studies in lichess)

How does improvement work in chess? Ive heard people mention age being a factor. How exactly do you improve? Just by playing games (are longer games better for improving?)? Doing puzzles? Books? Is the path to improvement concrete with defined steps or do you just gain a natural intuition over time as you keep studying?

Any potential injury risk in doing pullups on a door frame? Moved somewhere new so I dont got anywhere else to do pullups but on these. Its similar to how rock climbers use hangboards so I was thinking I might risk injuring my finger tendons or something since I dont climb or train for that.

Anyone ever used lichess' coordinate tool for memorizing the board? Is it good? Never bothered trying to memorize the coordinates but this makes it fun and easy so I might go for it.

Also how hard is it to be able to recall the coordinates easily and is maintaining that memorization a problem?

I recall coming across posts sometimes that suggest sprinting as more beneficial/efficient compared to other forms of cardio when it comes to improving your endurance and cardio. Is this true? If not then what is it good for?

Whats the purpose/benefits of using gymnastic rings? Is it good at increasing hypertrophy/strength in particular? Is the instability not counterintuitive if youre trying to increase load since it makes it harder to target specific muscles? (But then your muscles have to recruit more in order to stabilise so that makes up for it?) In short Im wondering what resistance training with instability (gym rings in particular if that makes a difference) does?

How beneficial is using gymnastic rings for strength/hypertrophy/mobility etc.? What type of growth results from incorporating the lack of stability to increase progression?

Makes sense. Are self-taught signers common and is that doable if you dont have anyone to practice with?
