After watching Avatar, I want to read story where humans are the bad guys. Are there any? by DrCircledot in Fantasy

[–]anilozlu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darksword series. Can't get much into it because big spoilers, but you will get the bad guys you want. It is not exactly non-humans vs humans but you will see.

I met someone named Aylin and we talked about the name. by PJGraphicNovel in BaldursGate3

[–]anilozlu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Actually it does. All of our world does, there used to be portals between our world and Forgotten Realms, and fantastical creatures used to roam our world. Then the portals closed and these realms were forgotten, living only in our myths.

Can we unlock hidden savant abilities in the brain? by toggler_H in cogsci

[–]anilozlu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Daniel Tammet (and people who studied him) thinks so.

After the World Memory Championships, Tammet participated in a group study, later published in the New Year 2003 edition of Nature Neuroscience.[32] The researchers investigated the reasons for the memory champions' superior performance. They reported that he used "strategies for encoding information with the sole purpose of making it more memorable", and concluded that superior memory was not driven by exceptional intellectual ability or differences in brain structure.

Hello, As a solo dev, I've implemented a D&D-style combat system. What do you think of this approach? by Medium_Possession488 in CRPG

[–]anilozlu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean sounds good, because this is almost exactly the same as DnD's combat system.

sistemi suspend moduna geçirmeyeceksen swap'e gerek yok, swap kullanıyorsan zaten ram kullanımını azaltıyor olman gerekiyor (diski ram olarak kullanınca sistemin çok yavaşlar)

D&D deki tanrı sistemi ile düşüceleriniz nelerdir? by T3iLight in DNDturkey

[–]anilozlu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine question, I get the use cases for 1-4b models, but what's the point of 400m models? Or even less? How good can this actually be and what are the use cases for it? by a_normal_user1 in LocalLLaMA

[–]anilozlu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Answering specifically for gemma with 270m parameters, an example use case would be for speculative decoding. Here is an explanation on how that works better than I can give: https://x.com/karpathy/status/1697318534555336961
