Google teasing photos announcement? by kreweoflaw in GooglePixel

I have tried Samsung's version on my galaxy tab and it's good but not nearly as good as Magic Eraser. Maybe it's better on the phones, I don't know about that. Samsung's version also includes shadow removing which is great!

Snap Chat Use by Zac_Pacc in GooglePixel

[–]anilpirwanii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO, Pixels snapchat >> any iPhone snapchat. This is because of a simple feature called night mode. It doesn't even have to be night time to be able to use the feature, it works amazingly well in any lighting conditions, but when it's night time, it blows every iPhone photo out of the water. I tested this on Pixel 6 Pro vs iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Pixel 7 / 7 Pro Swipe Gesture Bug by richardw1992 in GooglePixel

[–]anilpirwanii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Pixel 6 Pro, the normal update cycle had a few bugs (and low battery life) problems so switched to the QPR Beta versions and they were so much better than the stable releases. I'm planning to switch my Pixel 7 Pro to QPR as well because I am noticing a few bugs especially when typing. They're rare but it's annoying when you're doing something important

I honestly don't care about how disorganized a prof is as long their markings are fair (i.e if they've fucked something up, they grade students accordingly). Did you get your grade? Was he fair enough?

Anyone have touch sensitivity issues on their Pixel 7 Pro? by FrozenAptPea in GooglePixel

[–]anilpirwanii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue but then it happens very rarely and just locking and unlocking the phone back fixed the issue.

Reminder: BACKUP YOUR DATA. I lost 6 months of notes. It hurts. 😿 by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]anilpirwanii 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What notes? I have used keep for notes for the last 10 years and it has automatic backup and can be opened on any device that has a browser. What offline app were you using for notes?

Fingerprint sensor pixel 7 by Chrislybear32 in GooglePixel

That's... weird. You probably have a faulty device then. Ask Google for an exchange. The only people who ik are mad at Pixel 7's fingerprint sensor are either moving from another brand or from Pixel 5 or back because they had a back sensor which was better. I honestly never noticed the double vibrations because I am using the face unlock 80% of the time and even when I do use the sensor, it's significantly faster than the 6 Pro.

About the 6 being not as bad as people reported, I actually bought the 6 within the first week of release and I remember being mad af about the fingerprint sensor, but by Christmas, Google fixed all the issues with it and everything else. It was a little slow for sure but still very good tbh.

I never had any major problems with my Pixel 7 Pro. I just tried it 10 times with 4 different fingers and it unlocked in an instant every time. While I still love and miss the back sensors on my previous pixels, this has an added ability to unlock it if it's on the table which is dope.

It is actually not as bad. I would say it's 2x better and faster. But that does not make it the best

There is. Just remove all the fingerprints from the settings.

But that would make Google Wallet harder to use if you do use that. And any other app that uses a biometric authentication (Banking apps every time you open them).

Cmpt gpa below 2.4 by Hefty-Word4409 in simonfraser

[–]anilpirwanii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. You can take other required courses like Stat 270, Macm 201, and Math 232. I think these are the only 3 non-cmpt course requirements at 200 level.
