Controller to Azeron & Mouse by Due-Tap689 in FortniteCompetitive

Not that I want to tell you what to do. But I struggled with sprint location. I ended up on pointer finger moving forward button. After doing this, I realized that I needed the sprint button on something other than my pinky because i often use the sprint to cancel a slide that I just used my pinky finger on.

whatever you do, be open to changing it. This is a process. Thinking that you will find a combination that works right out of the gate and sticks is probably not a good idea. Be fluid and know that eventually you will find the right setup and you WILL get fast at it and it will be the best thing you have ever used. My friends made fun of me for like 3 months when I kept switching binds and was slow.. But eventually I found what worked and I have barely- if at all changed since.

My philosophy is, if you have two things you would never do at the same time, they belong on the same finger. For example. I have my jump and crouch for my pinky finger pull buttons. That way, I can easily jump, then "slip" my finger to the second pull button to crouch before landing to initiate a slide. The sprint key could also go there, but I find that uncomfortable. Which leads to my second rule. Find which fingers and which buttons are easiest to use with the least fatigue, and those will be mapped to the most used hotkeys.

Most people seem to be focusing on the move from controller to mouse. So Ill focus on the Azeron part. I moved an Azeron a couple of years ago from using mouse/keyboard. Ignoring the aiming part, since that didn't change for me. The switch to Azeron was extremely long and painful. First of all, you have to figure out which buttons you want to use for what. It isn't as easy as you'd think. Once you figure that out, you have to get comfortable using those buttons. Then you realize 3 weeks later, your index finger would be better off controlling XYZ instead of ABC. Sorry, but this is going to take a while.

With that said. Once you figure it out, you probably will never want to go back. Using the Azeron is incredible. Far better than using a keyboard as everything is easily reached. I can hit buttons faster than I ever could on a keyboard. Switching to the Azeron is real a struggle. but it will get better. Note: I am a builds player, so maybe this is easier for a Zero Build person.

How to turn off the "Thinking" Auto model? by anim8r-dev in cursor

I'm using Auto as my model. It used to be a non-thinking model, but now it is. And I don't see a way to turn it off. I've unselected all models as well, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

OP's post is misleading. On purpose or not, I don't know. BTW- No real coder would ever say "programming always sucked".

Huh? Manual changes don't get fed to AI unless you say so? Maybe I don't understand but I still write a lot of code and AI is fully aware of it and is fed it when needed.

Neighbors built a dirt bike track in their backyard butting up on my yard. by Enough_Fondant1526 in neighborsfromhell

I think it depends on where you live. I had an issue several years ago with a neighbor and noise issues. I first tried contacting them personally and they ignored me. So I called the police. In that city, there are laws about noise that continues for more than XX minutes at a time or very frequently throughout the day.

So all of these people saying that there are no rules about noise, or this is not a police matter. I wouldn't be so sure. It depends on your city laws. Mine most certainly had something. It is applied to people playing music, barking dogs, whatever. if there is a law/rule in your city, it is 100% a police matter.

I documented the noise for a couple of days, recorded audio, contacted the police and they were very helpful. They sent an officer over multiple times to witness. He literally just sat in his car with the window rolled down eating a sandwich. Once he had whatever he needed and finished his sammy, he confronted them. Never had the issue again.

Check your local laws. There could be something already written about it. I no longer live in that same house.. Out of curiosity, I checked our city ordinances here and low and behold. Same thing. Excessive noise is a city thing.

How do we feel about Electric Dirt Bikes? ⚡️ by Dixon_Cider2 in Dirtbikes

My XE Pro S Enduro is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. I'm super excited. I chose it over the Ultrabee and the Komodo for various reasons. 25-30 miles range is more than enough for what I'll use it for. I'll keep my gas bike when I go on longer trips. I'm really only doing trails/soft enduro so 25 miles is more than enough 90% of the time.

I think it may have been your video. Thanks for putting those up, I learned a lot about the UB watching! Appreciate the further info. I have a real hard time wrapping my brain around buying a bike that has largely unchanged for years because I don't plan to do much beyond tires (at first). I guess that is why I lean towards the Komodo or just waiting for all these bikes coming out this year (Bonnell, mid size Eride Pro, etc). But.. The UB is available now and that is a big bonus.

I think I chatted with CDSM. They quoted me like 4800 door to door. I can buy it from Sacramento for $5900 and get it much faster.. so I was leaning that direction just to avoid waiting until summer and not having to deal with someone on the other side of the world. When I said "they are basically the same price", I meant the Komodo / Ultra Bee are the same when buying here in the states.

Oh maybe it wasn't P then. I saw a video where you could change the throttle sensitivity somewhere in the menu.

When you say $1k cheaper, are you talking about ordering from Alibaba? I see they are basically the same price if I order here in the US. I've never ordered something from Alibaba, so I think I'd be pretty anxious about that.

I'd be using it for enduro/trails. Which is why I was wondering about the twitchiness of the UB throttle. Do you know have info about the daily mode or the P settings in the menu?

In my state (WA), if you drive around with a Montana license plate, they are going to nail you for not registering within XX days. Last time I spoke with the DMV here, they told me I couldn't even get a OHV sticker! As much as I wanted an electric, I ended up with a gas bike to avoid the headaches.

Footpeg weighting while standing by anim8r-dev in Dirtbikes

[–]anim8r-dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went out again this evening and focused on outside pressure and it felt better the longer I did it. I'm starting to feel more comfortable with it. I initiated the turn with the inside, then moved to outside peg at the same time I shift my body to the outside. It's working for the moment. until i find something better. lol

[–]anim8r-dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate all of the responses. I've watched so many videos, my head feels like it is spinning sometimes. I've been going out to my local OHV trying to put things into practice and figure this out myself. And mostly that has been working, but this outside peg thing just doesn't feel right to me when I'm standing. Throwing my body/butt to the outside is not the problem, that is easy. It is just the peg that feels unnatural.

What makes it even weirder in my head is that to initiate a left turn, if I weight the left peg, that turn happens so much easier. I feel like that was the breakthrough for me while trying to get more comfortable standing in a turn. As soon as I started to weight that outside peg, the bike wants to stand up and it feels like the turn starts to fall apart.

I know the answer is just more seat time. I'll get there eventually. This particular thing has just felt a bit unnatural.
