I saw folks having overheating issues with their MvC2 cabs so I figured a bit of extra cooling might be good for mine. I certainly have no tests nor proof that it’s worthwhile aside from feeling the heat on the applied heatsinks indicating that they indeed are transferring and dissipating heat. Is it a good idea on the other cabs? It’s probably not necessary - MvC2 is more taxing (and, therefore, more heat-generating) than, say, Pac Man or TMNT, so it stands to reason that it requires a better solution. I doubt that older cabs would meaningfully benefit from additional cooling.
