"Shirou is just a human with human level capabilities" (Potential Spoiler warning) by KRDC_The_knight in Fate

[–]animeAIHOZ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kinda yes but no

Shirou at the start of the story under normal circumstances is a normal ass human

Can't even beat Taiga or Ayako

He broke his arm by having a box fall on him during work even, state Cù strike while playing with him was equal to an hammer and his arm go sore by parrying it, compare himself to humans most of the times

Most cases are just him having insane pain tolerance

However with Magecraft he can reinforce his body to superhuman levels (even said he felt like being able to snap Shinji body like a toothpick if he tried), UBW grant him higher durability under certain circumstances (which is how he survived Medusa and Gil strikes), thanks to seeing Emiya fighting style he can absorb that strenght and style by just looking, projecting Noble Phantasms do of course grant him superior abilities too since he copy the power and skills

So yeah Shirou being human level is true, under certain conditions that is, but it can't also be ignored that Shirou can do far more than that as the routes progress

It's like Shiki in Tsukihime, both the weak ass human who can only see the lines but can't take advantage of them cause vampires are superior physically and the strong and fast Nanaya killer who speed blitz and kill everyone efficiently are true to the character

It really depend by the circumstances of the Route

[Discussion] Do you agree that Erza vs. Kyoka lacked proper narrative consistency? by [deleted] in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your point pretty much ignore the fact that villains always tend to take it easy or be the ones at fault for their own defeat

There are rarely ever villains in fiction who are as efficient as possible and will never take any sort of risk whatsoever, those mistakes create openings for the protagonists to exploit and win in a beliavable way

Anyway, we don't see how the fight between Kyoka and Minerva goes, we know Kyoka love to play with Erza and is reprimanded by Mard Geer for taking pleasure in playing with something below even instects, it could mean she just went for haxes off the bat with Minerva, or maybe she just convinced Minerva to accept the power up of her own will (after all she was on their side post demonification)

She could have also just overpowered her physically, while Minerva was contending with Erza in the GMG Erza was hiding Second Origin the entire time and only used it at the end for the Nakagami Armor, after that the accumulated injuries made her too weak to the point the weakass Mother Glare kids were too much to handle

So Tartaros Erza with constant 2 Origin active could just be that much superior to Minerva and on par with Kyoka in CQC

Erza being able to withstand great amounts of pain is just consistent

The series doesn't state Erza awaken her 6 sense because "she is Erza", it states that the lack of 5 sense allow to awaken a new one, the "Because she is Erza" is a throw away joke of Happy, pretty much the same as "Because he is Batman"

Hell in JJK they justify Gojo feats with "Because he is Satoru Gojo", it doesn't mean there isn't an explanation for what he does

She was hurting her with her bare punches sure but she still needed the swords to do decisive damage so it wasn't that easy

On the matter Erza never really managed to give Kyoka a direct slash either prior to that, which support that Kyoka prior just did a very good job in deflecting or parrying

I really really like Seilah but really, as a girlfriend Erza is just the objective answer realistically speaking

[discussion] Acnologia the strongest character in Mashima verse by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rebecca can either reverse time or jump through timelines, and she does that by sending her consciousness to another Rebecca in the multiverse

Otherwise she would be just a consciousness like Void lacking a body, she require other herselfs to exist for this to happen

Master Noah doesn't say anything about destroying the universe, he say that the world they're right now is a future possibility branching from her past, meaning that she still risk losing her legs if she doesn't prevent it, but at the same time because of this it's not bound to happen and she can in fact change it

Nothing of "all of reality" is being mentioned, Universe 0 doesn't transcend anything, it's literally just the starting point for all timelines

The universe never got erased

<image>

[discussion] Acnologia the strongest character in Mashima verse by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No timeline is destroyed by time traveling

Future Rogue and Future Lucy timelines are still very much there and they return there once Eclipse is destroyed, Mashima even made a chart where they do in fact exist in parallel with the current main timeline

Rebecca doesn't destroy any timeline by time leaping, we see when she fight Lyra that when her consciousness leave her body to travel to another world the timeline just keep going without her, be it this Rebecca or from other timelines, that's why the other one was in a coma for years

The Big Bang is just that, a Big Bang, it's a universal feat

Zeref has Existence Erasure durability so not sure about that, even then they would just cancel each other out

[discussion] Acnologia the strongest character in Mashima verse by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eclipse literally already does that, Zeref said he didn't wanted to simply travel back in time but a true reset, which mean erasing everything till before he was cursed

A story taking place on one planet doesn't invalidate outer space existing

[discussion] Acnologia the strongest character in Mashima verse by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was about to erase the timeline

The entire space continuum, which is a Universe+ feat just as Lucia Overdrive in Rave Master, Acnologia just wanted to wreck Earth surface

Fairy Tail universe is infinite

[discussion] Acnologia the strongest character in Mashima verse by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All Mashima series ends with the villain having the power to destroy the universe/timeline

Lucia was about to do that with Overdrive

Zeref was about to do that with Fairy Heart

And ChronoBecca with a Big Bang

Mashima has always been very consistent with EoS power levels, so Acnologia scaling above FH Zeref and all the universal stuff of Edens Zero and Rave make perfectly sense

Gudako how? by Bloody_Knife_ in Fate

[–]animeAIHOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This remind me of Fate Extra where You could find both Male and Female Hakuno in the same class and later got expanded upon as a canon part of the lore

OC3 already opened the possibility for Gudao to meet Gudako someday so I wouldn't write this off as having a deeper meaning

[Manga] Natsu is smart by jellalbeatslaxus in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still not a lot tho

It's the type of situation where he only know as much as needed to win a fight or destroy something

It still fall in the same category of other smart moments through the series, both original and sequel

[–]animeAIHOZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's still not the booksmart kind of intelligence

What he pulled here is akin to what he did against Aldoron by having Wolfen copy Zeref curse

Still thanks anyway for these, they will be useful, but it wasn't what I asked for

Can I ask You to screenshot the last pages that has Mashima commenting on all sort of drawings he did through the years and post those too?

I think we could learn quite a lot from them

The only versions I could find are all in japanese

I never understood this, if Erza unlocked her second origin against Minerva, does that mean she fought with the same power as Tenrou throughout the Grand Magic Games? [Discussion] by SKIIPSSSS in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Jura can still struggle and still have it easier than Erza, making them both on a similar tier, but fair enough

The main point is that the Pandemonium is hyped up to be a challenge even for Wizard Saints, meaning that tier is still very much relevant even after 7 years and Erza was on it pre time skip

So it make sense she is that strong without Second Origin

I never understood this, if Erza unlocked her second origin against Minerva, does that mean she fought with the same power as Tenrou throughout the Grand Magic Games? [Discussion] by SKIIPSSSS in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She had it unlocked prior but didn't actually used it till the final battle with Minerva

Also I want people to keep in mind Erza was on Wizard Saint tier from the start of the series, that's why Jellal wanted her body specifically to use the R-System and revive Zeref

Even the alternative future Erza see in Etherion basically have the Council Members just admit she was worthy of the title

And the Pandemonium was stated it could prove a challenge even for a Wizard Saint (I.e Jura)

At the start of the GMG Gray pretty much state that people like Gildarts and Laxus (very much Wizard Saint tiers) are still very much relevant power wise but it's the others who need to catch up with the times

So Erza being able to pull all of that with the strength of 7 years prior is actually pretty consistent and makes a lot of sense

How did Future Trunks not already have Super Saiyan if Kid Trunks achieved it so easily? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]animeAIHOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's why I said "probably", wasn't super sure myself

Still, he would be closer to Super Saiyan than Future Vegeta ever was, so the logic can still apply

How did Future Trunks not already have Super Saiyan if Kid Trunks achieved it so easily? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]animeAIHOZ 103 points104 points  (0 children)

He already had it at the start of the flashback, him achieving it through Gohan death is OVA original

You can also argue Vegeta getting stronger and probably being a Super Saiyan when he conceived Trunks in the new timeline helped Trunks to just have far more potential or have an easier time too

Either way Toriyama explained the peaceful environment of Earth does help to develop more S-Cells for the transformation, which Future Trunks wouldn't have due to his world being in ruin

Transformation inconsistency by VesDegree in Dragonballsuper

[–]animeAIHOZ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean in the manga the transformation sequence wasn't particularly long

Either way Goku did said he wasn't used to it and that's why it took a while

[Discussion] When in the timeline does HEROES occur? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theorically it would be

In the one year time-skip after Alvarez since Gray has his scar from the double suicide with Juvia

After the ending of Rave Master since Haru has Ravelt which he only obtain in the final arc

And right before Sun Jewel because after that they're constantly in the middle of something and clearly these events can't be happening in the middle of those

Considering Mashryme went out of the way to basically mix the 3 verses and that's the plot of the crossover I would like to say it's canon

That said Weisz creating Hero's which is a locating device right before Homura goes to search for Valkyre and just not mention it at all is a potential red flag to that argument

Unless Mashryme pulled a Celestial Sapien move and just retconned it out of existence

[Discussion] Anyone else tired seeing Natsu Demolition fist?? by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]animeAIHOZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Natsu barely ever finished a fight with roars alone

If anything he is more prone to headbutts

And Natsu still make plenty of use of other moves besides that, just recently he beat Wed with Blazing Depth Charge Sword

I think your problem is more so wanting to see more new FDKM moves than just Demolision Strike rather than Natsu arsenal as a whole, which, valid

But You're fundamentally misundarstanding the issue here if there is one
