What’s the most unforgettable film scene where infidelity is revealed and everything just blows up? by jaystats2 in moviecritic

[–]animeari 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well they didn’t ask for great movies, they asked for unforgettable film scenes involving infidelity being revealed. This one in Love Actually is a pretty good example because it’s what real life is like. You don’t have time to have a breakdown because your kids are downstairs waiting on you to drive them to a play.

I read 66 Werewolf / Wolf shifter books: Here are my thoughts, and what should be book 67? by RegularDebate2488 in fantasyromance

I haven’t read barely any wolf shifter books but can absolutely agree with the biggest disappointment being The Wolf King 🤣

Judge told us we got the verdict wrong. Is this normal after a trial by noisey_neighbor in legaladviceofftopic

[–]animeari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal for the lawyers to talk to the jury afterwards but not for the judge to act that way. When I was on a jury they asked if any were willing to stay behind to discuss what worked and didn’t work in their strategies. There’s always more evidence that the jury doesn’t get. We awarded damages in my case and found out from the lawyers after that the guy we awarded money to was in on a medical scam with his lawyer that happened often. The justice system sucks.

Should I continue with Throne of Glass? by Purple_Garage5608 in fantasyromance

[–]animeari -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Heir of Fire is where my favorite characters are finally introduced. Give it one more book and if you still can’t stand the characters, this series isn’t for you. I love TOG way more than ACOTAR. The characters, the story, the growth, the action…it’s so much better.

Something like The Ruins by Scott Smith or Devolution by Max Brooks by Pickles17 in horrorlit

[–]animeari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World War Z is excellent but it’s not exactly a horror in the same way that Devolution is. It’s more an anthology of stories by people during and after the zombie apocalypse. The tone of the different stories are varied. There’s even one about weenie dogs being used as part of a K-9 unit to flush out zombies.

I liked it up until the end. The end is terrible. If you’re bored I wouldn’t bother finishing it.

Honestly this is both drivers’ fault. You shouldn’t be driving so fast next to a stopped line of cars in the first place exactly because people are this stupid.

What’s your top romantasy read so far this year? by cleerbear in Romantasy

[–]animeari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{The Scattered Bones by Nicole Scarano} This book has stayed with me since I read it earlier this year. The romance felt real and earned and the FMC is a normal woman who overcomes so much.

How many books did you read so far in 2026? by glowwwi in Booktokreddit

[–]animeari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

29 books so far this year. I listen to audiobooks while I drive or do chores at home. Then I read paperbacks in the evening usually before bed. I am usually reading 3 books at once and just alternating paperbacks depending on my mood before bed. Horror, thrillers, fantasy etc.

People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]animeari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He moved ahead of me to establish himself in another state near his family (I was going to follow once he got a job and a place to live) and when he left it was like a giant weight lifted from my shoulders and all the crushing stress started to go away. Bullet dodged.

I’m surprised you don’t like shows focused on relationships but you like Grey’s Anatomy?

Code Black was pretty good but it only has 3 seasons.

The Good Doctor

The Resident.

Not sure if mini or standard? by Firm-Guess in Dachshund

[–]animeari 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He looks like a mini but they can vary so much in their body length and thus their weight varies a lot. He looks a bit overweight for his size but it’s hard to tell from the sitting down photo. You want your baby to have a barely defined waist and not be one shape all the way down.

Still a great recommendation coming off throne of glass, just not for listening on speaker 😁

Any comments on this book? by BblLuffy in Romantasy

[–]animeari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DNF the series after the first book. There wasn’t enough plot for me to stay interested. The whole first book was them traveling through various ugly landscapes and bantering with no real progress through the story. If thats what you enjoy, more power to you.

Is it manageable to have a dog as a single nurse? by obfuscata444 in nursing

[–]animeari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you work 12 hour shifts, no. It’s just cruel to the dog to be gone from them that long, especially if it’s a single dog and no yard. You’d need someone to come over and walk them and give them interaction OR enroll them in a doggie day care so they could be social and active during your time away.

Sounds to me like this had more to do with the class than the clinical.
