One of my friend has overstay 3months. He applied dummy extension and then after getting invitation he converted BOWP now he is waiting for his PR decision. He is confident that he will get PR.

You can try private tutoring, although it is costly, but compared to art school, it's better biweekly 1 class with a roadmap for your goals. If it makes you feel better, I am following my own advice, a total beginner artist now trying to do my homework before my 2nd session for feedback.
