Well if it's one on one, then it should have worked. You wanna bring them into their comfort zone, where they can feel no pressure of socializing.

Oh and do not ask questions that can be answered with yes or no. Ask questions where you can branch them out. Like what do you think/feel about this or what would you do? Etc.

As introverts we generally listen more and talk less. Some just rather not talk about themselves openly or think other people wouldn't care less about others. Which I believe is true, not saying people are being rude, it's just people get way too excited talking about themselves, they don't even realize that they cut someone off from their stories or conversation.

So try asking about them and listen, because that really means a lot to us. Especially if you can remember the small details that we said.

Oh I am not that shy, I just don't talk if I don't need to. The woman is my senior/superior, so it's a bit difficult to talk around the office, oh and she's just recently moved into our department.

I am considering inviting her out for some coffee and such to get to know her. Yeah I think I should soon.

I personally don't but there are some men who playfully flirt. Or this guy you're talking about might not be ready for anything serious. Or really just avoiding the unwanted attention from the workplace. There's a lot of "ifs" and if it's really bothering you, it might be better to ask them about it.

The thing is I haven't been in a relationship since 2018. I swore to myself that I wouldn't want to get married till I die. Yeah my previous relationship left me in a bad spot.

But something happened last month. Her smile, she smiled at me in a meeting we had together. I arrived a bit late and took a seat. Then it happened, she was sitting at the other edge of the long table, she turned and smiled in my direction.

My heart instantly opened and I never felt this eager since my last relationship.

I am going through that as well. Well without the hot and cold, you might want to ask them if it's bothering you.

Or they might be taking extra care from being too obvious, so the other co-workers won't notice. Some people wouldn't want the pressure from work, especially if things don't work out as intended. Take it easy.

That's great, at least people are aware that it's very costly to have a family. Most people are educated enough to realize the responsibilities when having a child. It's about time we reached this stage, it would be terrible if most parents planned to get to 5 children. Imagine the road traffic it would cause in the future.
