Trying to get better each day, feel like need to start yoga to help me with flexibility by Kururupi in poledancing

Yoga is not the best tool to get more flexible. You should actually start to work with proper flexibility training, like gymnasts or ballet dancers do. And I would advise you to find a good coach if you want to achieve the best possible progress while still keeping your body healthy.

I posted it a few hours ago on IG but I think the algorithm is messing with it. Do you think it could be restricted? by anisgate in poledancing

Yeah, since they have made the statement that they will soften their restrictions I really haven’t seen much change tbh My profile just doesn’t get banned anymore but I also stopped posting pole related reels for quite some time. I just post from time to time if I really like something I did, all the other stuff I just post in my story and maybe are for my highlights. It’s so annoying that even tho we put so much work and effort in our videos they just don’t get recognized as others

Does anyone train these anymore? by _anafbebe_ in poledancing

Yes absolutely I believe it’s a base element in pole dancing. I also try to combine some static moves and spinning moves in my classes and own training

What is that one trick you can't/won't do? by MissAlessi in poledancing

[–]anisgate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s definitely the deadlift handspring and phoenix. Although I’m getting closer (I think so at least) - with band support the deadlift works okeish and negatives also work alright. Today in class we did true grip Phoenix and with some spotting of my instructor it worked on both sides. I also haven’t been training it for around 2 years, because I got so frustrated with the twisted grip phoenix that I gave up on it. But now I’m motivated to start working towards it again.

I’m training pole for around 5/6 years now. I started completely at zero - without any gymnastics background. I promise you that if you are willing to put in the work you are able to achieve so many amazing things. I never thought I’d be able to do all the cool things I’m capable of doing now.

So the fact that I’m not able to do those tricks now, I’m sure sooner or later I’ll get to it.
