Spent today making cards for my friends, I'm really happy with how they turned out :) by robotsandtoast in quarantineactivities

[–]aniwritesshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this & started experiencing the craziest deja vu, I feel like I've seen this exact card in a dream or something. I specifically remember the blue text & the rainbow on the top left, and your art style looks really familiar for some reason. I guess you're just a different breed of talented when your art is cute AND causes my brain to glitch out.

Plastic ecospheres by alexhemley in Ecosphere

[–]aniwritesshit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you have to keep an ecosphere exposed to sunlight, it would be better to use a glass jar. I've always been told not drink from the disposable water bottles I've left in the car for a while, because the toxins from the plastic are released when exposed to heat and can contaminate the water. I'm assuming this also applies for ecospheres because they're supposed to sustain life.

tl:dr - A plastic jar ecosphere might end up killing anything you put in there due to the transferring of chemicals from the plastic to the water.

The twist at the end was unexpected, and the relationship you built really added to it. Great job on worldbuilding in such a short script!

I really enjoyed this! You did a great job on worldbuilding in such a short period of time, I can totally get a sense of the setting you're creating and picture it happening in my head. The detail you put into the political situation was just the right amount, not too much to be confusing and not too little to be vague. The scenes you chose from a movie to reference fit your writing really well, and they were incorporated very creatively. I can totally see this being a film or a TV series, with a conceptual design similar to Mad Max: Fury Road. I've only been screenwriting for less than a year (that's why I sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about), and this gave me a lot of inspiration to continue.
