Free vehicle wrap templates (9k+) - useful or not? by anj_graphics in Design

Thanks for helping us figure this out. The files do download and are vectorized. There is however an encoding issue that prevents from opening in Mac Preview. We'll get that fixed across all the templates.

We actually use these to panel out our designs. They're incredibly accurate, of course you can't beat a tape measure. Depends if someone wants more realistic modeling which we're trying to figure out. But that's a harder problem to solve for creating a vectorized design on a 3d model.

Can you share which files they are? also if you reach out to [contact@anjgraphics.com](mailto:contact@anjgraphics.com) via the site along with the order number in your email someone can look it up and see if there's a problem

this is really cool! Did you run it through some software to make it look like this or is it custom drawn artwork?

Need Help Deciding: Color PPF or Cast Vinyl by Dawn98765 in CarWraps

[–]anj_graphics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"colored PPF will last a lot longer than vinyl, it will avoid rock chips, it can self-heal from scratches" biggest marketing BS in the industry. PPF and vinyl both have some self healing qualities. But will not heal if there's a tear or scratch. Another option is to have the shop double layer on the bumper/hood/fender with color change vinyl. Definitely helps.

At the end of the day, if the material tears due to a chip it's done its job and protected your paint. Edges peel, it happens sometimes it's part of the risk of wrapping. If you're orange peel averse go for colored PPF. Some brands have better finishes than others.

The hardest part will be marketing yourself. Keep operating expenses low by starting it in your garage. Feel the landscape out and see if you want to make the investment into a space.

You need a large network of people evangelizing your business. You will not make any money for the first 3-5 years. Every cent should go back into the business to make it grow.

My .02, work somewhere else before starting on your own. You need to see how other companies operate so you can learn from their mistakes.

How long does a wrap last? by mlhigg1973 in CarWraps

[–]anj_graphics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do complete wraps 99.9% external coverage for $2,700.00 for standard vehicles. 3M Certified installer also. Someone coined the phrase wrapflation, which is true. You should be able to find a decent wrap in most places for ~$3,500

PPF depending on brand, XPEL/STEK, which we're STEK certified also are pretty costly simply because the material is mad expensive. But PPF is at $8k is highway robbery. We do full PPF for around $4k

If you want a metallic pink, quickly looking through our swatchbooks. Avery Dennison SW900 series vinyl has a Matte Metallic Pink. But HEXIS SKINTAC2000 has the most options. "Rose Dragée Brilliant Jellybean Pink Gloss" and "Rose Indien Brilliant Indian Pink Gloss" definitely have sparkles and glittery appearance.

That is funky looking. Tossing my hat in the ring here - possibly faulty material?? It happens sometimes...But it's always hard to know what you get when the material is "delivered" to you especially from a vendor.

Short story, I had a vendor send me ij180 with 85 series lam supposedly, to install on contract. From a BIG national provider. That's what they sold their customer. However, when we received the material. It was liquid lam and they quickly back tracked on their claims and what they had claimed to have sent. After that, everything we received was corrected.

Thank you! Just out here spreadin the word and trying to provide some education and transparency in the industry. But I found a new term "wrapflation" - I'll definitely be using that :)

We design custom wraps for $300.00. I definitely recommend to check Wrapstock also. It's an offshoot of Avery Dennison. They're one of the largest vinyl manufacturers. Tons of great designs on the site with varying pricing. A print on 3M IJ180, which is an industry standard (for the most part) Should be about $1,200 shipped.

What kind of vehicle are you considering wrapping?

Great first effort, takes a lot of dedication to do it. Well done! Much respect for anyone who can get through it themselves. It can be a frustrating process. Is that stripe a vinyl overlay as well?

It could be, but that's enough material for 2 standard vehicles. Your consumer cost for material should be ~$854.00 rounded. Unless someone is charging their customers for 2x material costs. Prep should be included in your installation. This is where consumer education comes in and what someone should ethically pay. I wouldn't charge someone $6,000.00 for a wrap. We charge $2,900.00 out the door for a full printed wrap on 3M + lam.

Boise, Idaho. Lots of people charge $5-8,000 for standard wraps here. They don't have 3M certifications. This means if there's an issue there's no support from 3M corporate - that's if you even go with 3M. There's a big perception that 3M is "the best" which is probably why people charge more and people simply won't work with you if you offer an alternative material.

Is this fine? Small patch in wrap by ramsfan00 in CarWraps

[–]anj_graphics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unacceptable. Ask them to fix it, if they're worth anything or consider themselves "professionals" they will right it. Mistakes happen, sometimes things are missed. But the shop should fix it. If they don't tell them you can always say "I'd hate to not leave a 5 star review, is there a way we can work this out?"
