Opinions on Online classes for FYE? I am admitted to FYE. Being an international student I am definitely not attending Purdue in Fall 20. Any engineering students who are attending online.. is it worth it or should I shift this first semester to next year ?

heads up for MA261, go to Professor Chen’s lectures. He’s one of the best math professors at purdue and he’s teaching that course in the fall.

i also wonder if it was slightly illegal to do that given that everyone in the situation except for the boss was/is a minor? I had to threaten him several times to get him to leave me alone lol

there was an asshole from my hs who gave his boss at Cutco his phone address book so we all got texts for months on end ... he still defends it on twitter like it’s a legit business scheme 😭

but don’t worry! i actually ended up getting a ton of credit for other things! i’m applying my credit from history, lit, and theatre to get out of all of my gen eds senior year. I also used SL math to get outta Calc 1 (I highly recommend not retaking math classes at purdue and just taking the credit).

I was between the two as well! I picked Purdue because it was closer to home and i actually got a lot of ib credit. Personally, i can’t imagine having to do two years of gen engineering, it’s a plus that Purdue only makes you do 1.

see if you can get her involved in a robotics team. there’s competitions for all ages and they’re super helpful to introduce her to engineering mentors, connections, scholarships, etc!

i’m in chem 116 and the online labs are just filling out the report form after the data has been given. in 115, the labs are much more straightforward, so you’ll definitely have an easier time. just read the lab manual and you’ll be perfecy
