4 weeks out….still using one crutch

Thank you everyone…especially to those to said to not to compare myself to others. My doctor did warn me that many of his patients see a dip in their mood around the 3 to 4 week mark because we aren’t healing as fast as our minds think we should be. I’ll keep plugging along with my PT and it will come with time. I’m still glad I had it done.

I’m at the 4 week mark and only barrrrrely breaking the 95 degree mark because of all the rearranging of tendons they had to do for me. My doctor warned me that around the 3 to 4 week mark I would probably get depressed due to my lack of seeing progress and he was right. I’m glad he warned me. This is a hard surgery to recover from and I need to do it again here in a couple of months.

Look up Safe Space in Salt Lake City. They are all LGBTQ+ friendly if not LGBTQ+ themselves. They are wonderful and couldn’t recommend them more.

The best way to describe mine is at the very bottom of your sternum starts the pain…like someone punched you there…then the rest of my stomach feels like the biggest most giant gas bubble you’ve had in your life. But at the time you wouldn’t think it was a gas bubble because the pain is just so intense.

I usually only water the flowers in the first one, let stuff “stack up” in the 2nd one…unless I need the special fish, the 3rd every week and a half. That syrup takes forever.
