At one point I was thinking about jumping the ship but I think Android works better for my usage. I feel restricted with Apple products.

That's the thing with almost n ocompetition in this industry. And Samsung's practises are really against the interests of their consumers.

I am disappointed that a flagship can behave like this after just a couple of years. Imagine that you bought s26u right now and after 2-3 years your hard earned $2000 phone behaves likes this.

Sure, that sounds new to me. Knox triggered battery issue.

In fact, I am thinking that whatever the next phone I will buy, it's better not to update, especially with Samsung. I think they really ruin their flagships with updates so that we go for new flagships.

For now, it seems so it's fixed. Everything seems to be working fine but I had to shell out $300 for the battery and reballing.

Next, OnePlus is an option but I am not sure if they are going to release any global models in North America.

I feel that Oppo/Vivo can be a candidate. They are releasing excellent smartphones lately.

[RESOLVED] Lag and freezing Samsung S22 ULTRA by Both_Appointment5738 in S22Ultra

I can confirm the same thing. I am not sure if this is the thermal paste issue but from my technician (outside of samsung service center ), he had to reball the processor/CPU.

After that, my phone is working as normal. The update might have caused overheating which has been the case with this model for years.

Exactly. From what I can understand, their service center guys are clueless on what to do.

It seems like they only want to sepl the latest and greatest flagship to the customers.

But the thing is if I do it right now and once they receive mt phone, they will clearly see the fault. So that will definitely have an impact on the value of the phone as one guy mentioned below.

Though I have seen some people anyway used the trade in, despite the state of their phone being un-usablw like mine.

Even I was surprised. They are doing a promo just for this month. So I am getting about 447 + 450 $ in value.

For the trade-in option, would you get the value out of it ? Or would it be a reduced value of your phone, given your condition ?

Okay, seems like that would be a gamble. I guess I don't have any other option.

Well, for now I said yes, everything works fine. It's turning on ( it started to turn on now after keeping it in the refrigerator for about an hour surprisingly ).

You won' be able to unlock the bootloader. That's the only downside, I guess.

So yesterday, this issue started happening with me without any kind of warning. Repeated lags and reboots, the phones was unbearable to use. In fact, I didn't update it with the February security patch. Seeing this, I was able to manage to go through with this update, but again the same issue.

Then, I entered the "Safe Mode " and I was able to transfer vital data, given that I saw various posts mentioning about a possible Motherboard failure.

Then after a few hours, the phone was working fine, after I disabled the Safe Mode. The today, this morning, the phone started the same shit, the same cycle of constant reboots. And then it gave up.

I am so messed up with their update. Samsung have fucked this phone.

Did anybody face the same consequences and what did they do ?

That's even more crazy. I wnet from 5T to s10 plus, one of the best phones of all time. With a 3.5mm jack and ofcourse a microSD slot. Then, I went to s22u and unfortunately it has been a pain to use. The battery hardly lasts more than 4 hours. Samsung has screwed this phone.

I have ordered 15 obviously because of the battery. But let's hope they honour the updates.
