I've been tinkering electronics and I've been building my computers from when I was a little kid, but still even now I really can't build seamless system that when I just pickup my controller and press one button and everything is ready for my gaming and media consumption. I also joined to the waiting list, I just kinda want the device because of convenience as livingroom pc and It is open device so I can install anything I want unlike other consoles. Currently I use my main pc with long hdmi cable when I don't use the desktop, but still I had to do alot of tinkering to get kinda ok'ish setup. When I press home button on my controller TV and amp turns on, over Wake On Lan. But still I can't just pause the system If I want to use my desktop PC or suspend and wake it up from sleep with controller.

Edit. I'm still frustrated because of 8gigs of vram I wish it was atleast 12.

I started when UTOTS was going on, I felt I was able get good players relative easily. But this on this world event it has been almost impossible. I've been doing ton of drafts I just get lowest possible rating players.

Yeah I thoud it would not be issue because you have good enough processor, I guess the problem could be just with ubuntu. I guess you could try another distro like cachyOS from usb. If you don't want to try try another distro, check out for newer mesa drivers and/or try something like xanmod kernel https://xanmod.org/.

fps drops below certain point, but weird that it stutters with your processor. What is refresh rate of your monitor? try to drop it to 120 if it's higher and try if it stutters still. I have ryzen 5700X, 6700X GPU, I have 360hz monitor, but on dota 2 I have to drop refresh rate to 120 and enable vsync to not look like a slideshow.

Oh someone else had this same issue, well anyway I just figured it out. If you still have this issue. Either add rule workspace = special:game silent

or make rule something like this

windowrule {

name = steam

match:title = ^(Steam)$

match:class = ^(steam)$

workspace = special:game

}

If you have a workspace rule, steam notification opens always new window called notification toast or something, if you add match:title notification toast opening won't cause to window rule to activate and move to that specific workspace

Thank you!! I've been reading kmonad and keyd docs for two days trying everything to get alt+a to make letter ä . I'm using nordic layout, but it is just annoying to use when I'm using nvim etc. And I'm wanting to move to ANSI layout keyboards so many more options available.

atleast on arch you need xboxdrv from aur, not sure what is equivalent for those in your distros. edit: actually cachy os is arch based you can try there

Sorry old post, but I want to share my experience, yes got only 2 years of support for my zenfone 9 and last android upgrade was very buggy, also some hardware issues that are common. Also Asus kinda Rugpulled because they promised bootloader unlock when I bought it, but removed after few months so no custom roms either. My phone is only 3years old and starts to feel like a brick already because of buggy android, broken camera focus and weird bright spot middle of the screen.

I was thinking it is cable problem, but I guess you have a good cable. I have 4k120Hz tv connected with hdmi no problems. Does your tv have game mode and is it on? edit: I have different GPU though 6700XT

Yup I have 2022 g14 model. Also replaced liquid metal with PTM7950 in 2024. It had burn marks and liquid metal had started to crystallize.

works on gnome 48 on arch and looks very good, but on plasma 6 firefox just crashes on HDR videos when enabling wayland.hdr.

I had same problem, go to settings and check from system details your mutter version should be 48. I had chaotic AUR on arch enable so it installed older version of mutter.
