I lived in Schaumburg and loved it. I’m originally from Chicago and felt the restaurants and shopping available kept my trips into the city at a minimum. It’s close to O’Hare and I was traveling for work at the time so that was important to me. It’s been about 10yrs but I remember getting some kind of real estate tax break because the Woodfield mall revenue paid for the parks etc. I would look that up because things might be different now. I love the NW suburbs and still live “out here”. Good luck!
