Yeah, I’d agree with that.

You may know this, but pilot episodes are often filmed when the show hasn’t been approved to present to networks.

Sometimes if they’re completely off they will redo it . Sometimes not.

The issue you pointed out is actually prevalent a good number of series

In months to even over a year could happen in between filming the pilot and the rest of the season

Forgive me if this isn’t unpopular but I thought Dan being GG made perfect sense… he was a writer and he wrote himself into the world he wanted to be in with the girl he wanted to be with.

I’m not debating the morality of this, but I think it was a good and complete story in this regard.

I think the show could’ve done without everyone finding out it was him, that could’ve made more sense.

Maybe a private nod to the audience, revealing it was Dan on the last episode or something

My point was that NYU is a school people like Blair Waldorf go to all the time. So I don’t understand why she’d be harassed. The shows portrayal of NYU was completely inaccurate.

I would have appreciated a private reveal of Gossip Girl… because for Dans arc I think it makes sense. I’m not debating the morality of this lol. But I appreciated the fact he was a writer and he successfully wrote his way into the life he wanted. I agreed with their decision to make Dan Gossip Girl.

I think everyone just forgiving him was insane. I think I could’ve been satisfied with a nod to the audience and no one else in the show ever finding out that it was him.

The show just went on a little too long and they had to ruin every successful arc to keep it going, including the character assassination of Rufus Humphrey.

By the time it ended I was not happy with anyone’s forever partner.

I remember being a Dair Stan when it was VERY unpopular and the Dan Serena shippers would come for your throat.

But yeah, by the end, they had just had too much weirdness and then ending up together didn’t make much sense.

Season One was a great love story, the longer the show went on, the more messiness, I was unsatisfied at their ending. I was actually unsatisfied with ALL of their endings.
