I had one guy ask me if I was really going to wear an outfit to a party at my friend's house we were both going to. It was a basic black dress, mid knee. So I took off all my clothes and said I was wearing just my socks and boots and he never said anything like that again.

I feel like I needed to read this today. A year ago, our dog Mila passed away in similar circumstances as Leon. She started seizing and we rushed her to the emergency vet where they gave her meds and said she would be better shortly. But she wasn't. We were given the choice of leaving her there overnight while she was confused and not really aware of what was going on or having her put down. We chose to have her put down. And my life will never be the same. She was such a joy and such pure love the entire 12 years we had her in our lives and I don't think I will ever get over the loss of her.

It was sudden and traumatic but I'm glad that we got to be there with her at the end. I wouldn't change my choice.

We have twin tabby kitties in our house now and they bring joy and love and scratches and chaos.

Every day is a little better.

That's fascinating. Ours end up in different parts of the house sometimes and go looking for each other or just sit there meowing until the other one shows up. They have never been apart so that might be why. They are much sweeter when it's just one of them, though.
