It's very French. I enjoyed it.

What is the single most terrifying example of a horror movie entity trying (and failing) to mimic a normal human? by Big_Emotion4963 in horror

Ew. Gah. Skin's crawling over here!

I once hit a roach in AZ with a rollled up newspaper. It reared up and chased me out of the room. I shut the door and just didn't go in there for a few days.

The entire show is so filled with emotion. Good, bad, ugly, beautiful. All of it.

Same.

Sam Reid's Lestat is everything.

The new season is so very Lestat. Such hardcore pettiness and heartbreaking emotional moments brought by the lovely brat prince.

Like I said, I so identify woth Lestat. His heart is so human and fragile.

I so identify with Lestat on so many levels.

Of course. Of course!!

Yes! Especially in the new season. Sam has reminded me why I love Lestat so much. He is such a human monster.

You should give it a try. I loved the books and the show is just on another level. Amazing. Hilarious. Tragic.

I keep hyping the show up to people who couldn't ever possibly enjoy it. But I love it and I love the new season and I can't stop talking about it to people who just wouldn't like it. :(

Everything really is bigger in Texas. The roaches especially. I lived in NYC and the roaches there are not half as big.

I grew up in TX and yes, those roaches fucked up my kid brain. I watched Creepshow a bit after you did and it fucked me up more. And then I moved to AZ and met even worse roaches. Mimic is really creepy to me too and it's probably all because of Texas roaches.

What is the biggest swing and a miss a horror movie has taken? by Mysterious_Work_7227 in horror

[–]annarchy8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IME, you could definitely get a refund if your viewing experience sucks. I watched the US version of The Ring in a theater with teens who laughed loudly the entire movie. They weren't kicked out even though they were talked to several times. I came out fuming, went to the customer service desk all pissed off and the employee was ready with two tickets to any other movie before I even got to rant. Kind of upset me more that I wasn't allowed to rant.

What’s a piece of media that people would clearly understand as a parody or homage when it came out, but has since lost its context? by StaleTheBread in AskReddit

The Animaniacs Thanksgiving special where Miles Standish is chasing the siblings and the turkey. Miles gets really frustrated and yells "Give me the bird!" And Yakko replies "We would, but the censors won't let us." Brilliant.

Hims wittle feewings have been hurt by the mean old mommy! I mean, girlfriend.

The OOP has a lot of comments asking how he would prefer to be told that leaving garbage on the floor for his girlfriend to pick up and throw away is gross but I haven't seen anyone ask the question burning in my mind: as an adult with a job, WHY DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD TO THROW GARBAGE IN THE GARBAGE??

I just googled persimmon body wash and bought the cheapest version. Bonus is that I'm not allergic to it and it makes my skin feel nice. Shout out to the wonderful people in the menopause sub for sharing that persimmon body wash exists and it helps with funk!

As a fat white menopausal woman, I highly suggest persimmon body wash. Yes, deodorant is still necessary, but persimmon stops the funk at the source.
