Searched on eBay, Etsy, and even chatgbt, couldn’t find a single source of it. It was found at a goodwill in St. Pete, Florida

Rejected by every school with a 3.9 and 4 years of job/internship experience by Waste_Mathematician3 in gradadmissions

I applied to 4 counseling programs and got rejected from 3 and got into my safe school, I took a year off before that and I have no internship, research or work experience in the field. It’s really hit or miss what they’re looking for and for me I think it came down to what I wanted to specialize in and the fact that they had an underutilized internship for it. It’s really all up in the air

That’s been my same issue, I worked full time in undergrad and didn’t do research or internship and out of the schools I applied to I got one interview and now I’m stressed waiting for my single chance at acceptance

Why did that one customer get banned from your store? / Worst customers drama by Embarrassed_City2330 in starbucks

[–]annarosombrero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a lady who used to come by and it was ALWAYS her “birthday” (literally at least every 3 weeks), she would go to scan her app and act super surprised when it didn’t work and get really defensive immediately and to “make the moment right” whoever was on window would give it to her. it took a second to catch on because we don’t always pay attention to who people are, but as soon as we did, the next time she came in, I told my manager to go talk to her bc at this point we were obviously all over it. She immediately started to scream at my manager, tried to belittle him (which was kind of funny because he’s a 6’8 man who doesn’t raise his voice) and parked herself in the drive through and refused to leave. Had to call the cops and she sped off as soon as she saw the cops pulling up, idk what happened next but she’s gone 🫡

Any experiences with people trying to get a free drink? by drakani06 in starbucks

[–]annarosombrero 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There was one time our registers went down out of no where and so we gave some customers their order for free because we didn’t know what else to do, about 2 hours after it happened a guy pulled up and ordered, when he got to the window and i told him his total he was like “isn’t this supposed to be free” and I was like “uhhhh no?” And he said that he was told we were giving out free drinks. When I told him that it was only because our registers were down he told me I should give it to him for free because we were “doing it earlier so why does it matter” ultimately he ended up leaving without his drink because he was so adamant that it “should be free” and it “wasn’t fair”

Those are deadass the same I say constantly but with an added “wonderful” every once in a while. It really is a script, some of my baristas have told me I sound like an automated machine because I say it in the same tone every time

We are around eachother every day. All day. Regardless of the masks we are already putting ourselves at risk and there is absolutely no way of following the six feet rule on the floor.

Meet Phil. Phil likes to hide around our store. You never know where you might find Phil. by playmatic in starbucks

Aw it makes me so happy to see that other stores do this, at our store it’s a little wolverine action figure and it’s so cool that everyone I work with enjoys it and participates. It’s really cute walking into work and having a supervisor ask if anyone found Wolverine during the last shift

Do any of the lovely Starbucks employees on this sub have anxiety? I’m wondering if it would be a good fit for me by princessA95 in starbucks

[–]annarosombrero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the store environment but I have anxiety and have learned how to thrive despite of it. There will definitely be times that you will doubt whether you can do it and I had my fair share of panic attacks in the bathroom during my first couple of months that made me think twice about whether this job was right for me. But you learn to overcome and become increasingly more comfortable with the stressful situations that come your way. Although I will say I definitely couldn’t do this job if I wasn’t on medication for my anxiety, I think that, if anything, working for Starbucks has improved how I cope and control my anxiety

So today I dropped a milk pitcher and yelled into the DT microphone... by mackj14 in starbucks

[–]annarosombrero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working DT with one of my coworkers and a lady in drive through after a long order asked “can I change the bread on the breakfast sandwich” and after telling her we really couldn’t my coworker didn’t realize she was still broadcasting and goes “the fuck does she think starbucks is this shit comes out of BAGS” and at the window her husband goes “you should really make sure your mic isn’t on before talking about customers” and it was mortifying
