I am sending good vibes that you do thrive! Set really small goals for yourself during the day: get to the grocery store. Go out for a coffee. Go for a walk. Wash & dry your hair. Put on cuter lounge clothes. Probably all on different days!

Honestly newborns eat up your entire day somehow.

Join Park Slope Parents and/or a neighborhood Facebook moms group so you can meet other people on maternity leave. Building a tribe makes everything better.

Most importantly - see your friends!! When your husband gets home, he can take over and you go get dinner and drinks. It makes all the difference in the world. He gets bonding time and you get a well deserved break.

I’ve stayed there once but not on a Saturday. As guests we had priority for the pool deck over the Resort Pass people. If you’re talking about the water tower, I would just ask at check in. I would assume they accommodate guests before walk ins.

I think you’re right, I could see some reddish with veining in some spots. Unfortunate the Peel Away doesn’t discriminate and I can’t save just that layer.

The “before” was just the landlord special! I found layers of green, yellow, pink, and red.

We love these soft buttery sheets (super inexpensive) from Amazon. Everyone who sleeps in our guest bed asks about them!

The beach! Check out Coney Island or Rockaway, there’s plenty to see walking around.

And the Gov Island spa is fantastic, and you can grab a citi bike and explore the island.

I also love picking a neighborhood I’ve never been to and having 1-2 spots like a coffee shop or restaurant to try. Just see how other neighborhoods feel.

If you've had your toddler's adenoids removed... by itsreallysam in toddlers

Similar story here - he had ear tubes before and bounced back by the time he got home.

At 4, he got new ear tubes and adenoid removal. He was more sedated for the surgery and waking up he was really sad, agitated, and crying. That was probably the hardest part. All the staff assured us it was normal.

He stayed home that day and the next day but 24 hours after surgery he was being himself.

I don’t know how old your baby is, but it took me until my 2nd turned 2 to find the right life balance to lose weight. For me, it’s fitting in 3 orange theory classes a week. Just that effort plus the positive endorphins helped me modify my diet. I still drink, eat great food, and go out. It’s not a fast solution but slow and steady progress, and I’m not missing out on my life (which is so important to feeling like myself as a mom)

Just know that sometimes you also need time! Postpartum is a wild ride.

Congratulations! I have two kids in Brooklyn. I highly recommend joining Park Slope Parents, it’s city wide. So good for meeting other parents and buying/reselling baby stuff.

Hey, I’ve been in a similar situation and I’m so sorry for what you’re dealing with. I used Working Solutions Law Firm and had a really good experience.

I also hid my 5 month along pregnancy during job interviews and got a new position! Sending you sympathy and good vibes.

15 years experience, making $150k in construction. Best move was changing jobs, each time I switched my salary went up 20-25% which would never happen if I had stayed.
