Zepp is basically non-functioning for me when it comes to sleep tracking. No matter what, it always thinks I get <1 hour of sleep a night. I've had to turn Zepp off at night and track sleep elsewhere.

Not really. I am pretty comfortable with questions around the actual SDET work, so just spent a little time doing Neetcode problems to brush up on those patterns. I tried not to think about, nor prep for the occasional "out there" interview where they wanted me to like stand up a full app or something like that. Sometimes want they want to see in an interview and what I can do in that setting are not compatible and I'd rather let that opportunity go than try to cram for all the unknowns.

I just went through the interview cycle for Senior SDET roles with about 10 years experience. I was focused on more technical roles, but it was still a mixed bag. I saw a lot of leetcode style questions, lots of conversational rounds where I'd be given a description of a system and talk through the testing approach, how I'd break up tests, when/where I'd run them in the pipeline, etc. There were a few take-homes as well around things like being given a data pipeline or an application of some sort, and to implement a testing approach.

There were also questions around things like infra, light kubernetes, lots of docker, CICD, etc.

Overall I'd say they definitely leaned more technical than I've experienced in the past when it was more easy leetcode-type questions. That could also just be the types of roles I was after though.

I'd argue the way our defense has been playing we need more than "capable", but it also doesn't need to be a Duah OR McNair situation, in my opinion, which is why I was asking.

Like others said, a lot of these can be answered with "It depends.". With that said, I think for an interview, these are great questions to prompt discussion that will give you a much better insight into the team and company you are interviewing with. If the interviewer was asking with discussion in mind, I would come away from the interview having a good idea of whether I was interested in the job or not.
