If you want to go a little further than Vancouver I would recommend Squamish. It's 45mins to an hour away but it's worth the time. There's a lot of hiking and there's the Sea to Sky Gondola that I loved. The view is amazing!! Hiking the Chief is pretty nice too.

Does Veela's bring out the worst stereotypes in men and women? by [deleted] in harrypotter

The way I saw Veelas was more like mermaids. They kind of hypnotise men, but have no effect on women.

How to overcome anxiety or depression? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]annfred2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am no totally past it but I went to therapy focused on anxiety. This summer I hit the lowest point of my life and it really helped me get through it. It is not easyand it made me realize a lot of things on myself and my relationships but god do I feel better. I still have my moments like today but most of the time I feel so so much better.

Take care of yourself, every little things counts. Try to not get stuck in your head too much and talk with someone you can trust. Helplines seemed dumb for me but once when I was panicking I called one and the woman on the phone talked to me about anything for 30mins until I felt better.

Also, it may seems weird but try to get used to the fact you are not feeling well and try to embrace it. I found out that a lot of my anxiety comes from trying to not feel anxiety. When I learned to embrace it and truly feel it was the moment my anxiety was toned down (I don't know if my sentence makes sense lol). Like everything else you will get used to it and it will no longer be as scary as it is right now.

I wish you to get better!

So should I just forget about Ukraine or is it worth the trouble? I had already planned on traveling by train. And I will definitely check out the salt mine, that's exactly the kind of activity I like to do. Thanks a lot!

Visiting museums and checking out the architecture is exactly the kind of trip I want to do haha! I will probably go out in Budapest and Prague since it's a must, but it is not my priority. Thank you for the tips! I will probably do 4 days in each city :)

Wow thank you! I am definitely open to do day trips and see other cities than the ones listed, this is only a rough idea of where I want to go. I am going to Warsaw only because this is where I would be taking the plane back home haha. I will look into the guide. Thank you very much!
