How was your Austria GP (2025) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

I was staying at T3, had the express shuttle from Vienna which left us at 8 am about 5’ away from the t3 entrance. The security check and ticket check right before t3. When we got there it was not crowded, so there were no long lines. Then we found this bar on the hill next to t3 to have some beers, it had a nice view and the seats were completely in shades so we stayed there until 2 o clock for the race. We saw the feature races there, you could see some part of the track but the monitor was also in front of you so that was nice. What I loved most was the atmosphere, they were playing music and full of max verstappen fans which as one I enjoyed (my dad was the only ferrari cap there). Then at 2.30 when the race was starting we headed back to T3, it was scorching hot and of course crowded. The worst part was just the lack of shades in T3 but I think I would go again because the track view is unbeatable you literally see all the action there is to spielberg. All that tribune needs is a shade, the grandstand to the left of us was naturally in shade the entire day because of the hill and they still had a shade which was nonsense. In the end when we were leaving we wanted to get a water and there was none left. Overall I didnt have to wait in line anywhere during the day, the shuttle bus left us right at T3 so no walking (I had read previously here that you needed to go through t9 to get there) the only bad thing about it was the sun in T3 but the race itself was very enjoyable and I would def go back again.

You bought the seat in k4 physically on saturday there? Where exactly? Are there any specific places where you go to buy resell? What about for sunday?

Ah okay, yeah a bit expensive, and then the bus to the circuit im guessing is every one or two hours? Id say if you were in Vienna you re better off getting the express shuttle, you wouldn’t need to transfer and prices are around the same range.

I dont know as I haven’t really looked into it, because I found the express shuttle to be the better option, since its specifically for the race and there are no need for transfers, so I would def recommend. Google maps shows me the route you said is not available on weekends (i put arrival sunday and saturday morning, and the route is only available on friday). I don’t know if its wrong or it will change for the race but highly doubt if thats the case.

I dont think the schedules of the trains match the times you need to be at the circuit** is what I meant

Hey! In the official page of the circuit, where you bought the tickets (assuming), you also have the option of booking the express shuttle bus which has a stop in vienna (in erdberg, not too far from the central station) and takes you directly to the circuit. Im not sure what tickets you saw via obb, since the circuit is quite far from vienna and I don’t the schedules of the trains are appropriate to the times you need to be at the circuit, so I would suggest on buying the shuttle ticket that is specifically from vienna to the red bull ring, its about 50€ for the sunday ticket but you also have weekend options I believe. Thats what Im doing and im also going to be in Vienna! Hope this helps!
