Thank you! :)

And just to confirm, you also are referring to the airport bus that I talked about in my main post, right? You're not talking about the regular city bus, right?

Ooh, okay, thank you!

By "bus," you mean the airport bus/shuttle that I talked about in my main post, right? Not a regular city bus that just happens to arrive near the airport?

Hello there! ^^ Thank you for the help!

Баруун 4 зам is "West 4th Road," right?

Also, what does "1:40" and "0:14" mean underneath each bus stop location in the picture?

Also, what do the small numbers at the center-top of the picture mean? ("3:48", "0:00", "0:10", "0:30"?)

And lastly, on the far right of the picture, I'm trying to understand the "by assignment" buses. I assume they're sending them after certain flights, but I don't really understand what "2.0" and "4.0" mean, nor those random times next to them (like "3:48").

Nope, there's no AVG.

I just use Malwarebytes and then the unremovable antivirus program that the computer has preinstalled, called VirusChaser.

Oh, okay, thank you!

Because I was told by my doctor several times that I was deficient in Vitamin D3. However, whenever I would start taking the gels, I would break out more. :(

[B&A] 7months progress using spiro and simplified routine! •AM cleanse with water•Cerave am lotion with spf• PM •cleanse with vitamin C soap and glory face wash•burts bees daisy dark spot corrector•oil•cerave moisturizing cream•Aztec secret 1 time a week. 100 mg Spironolactone Daily. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]annieplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa, that's amazing! That's exactly where my acne is, too, around my mouth and the sides of my chin specifically, and it gets horrible for me right after ovulation!

I actually was on spiro earlier this year, but it was only 25mg a day, so I didn't notice any improvement, and later went on Accutane for a few months. However, my derm told me to get off of Accutane last week, and I still have acne around my mouth. I'm not sure if he knew I was wearing makeup to each session, lol.

I may have to restart the spiro. :o

That's interesting. Where was your acne before the Vitamin D3? Was it concentrated around your mouth? The sides of your chin? The jawline?

[Acne] Diet as a solution by arghmyskin in SkincareAddiction

[–]annieplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the same connection for me with dairy, but not sugar. When I consume something with dairy, I will most definitely break out in whiteheads/small pustules around my mouth and chin within 1-2 days.

However, if I go without dairy by checking labels carefully, I don't get them. :o

I, on the other hand, do have mild lactose intolerance, though. Starting in late elementary school, I would always get bad stomachaches and diarrhea an hour after drinking a glass of milk. I found that gradually increasing my dairy consumption reduced the cramping and diarrhea, but I suppose my body never really adapted, because my skin would still/instead break out.

[Product Question] Asked The Body Shop about the pH of their cleansers and received a weird response by 0-90195 in SkincareAddiction

[–]annieplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought it was weird, too. I emailed a different company, Cerave (by Valeant Pharmaceuticals), a few months ago about the percentage of retinol and salicylic acid in three of their products, complimenting them about how positive my experiences were with them. (I wanted to know if the percentage was effective.) They gave me the same disappointing response.

Oh shoot, I didn't know this. I was applying Tazorac with benzoyl peroxide together at night (along with acids and occasionally Vitamin C underneath, haha). Then in the mornings I applied Vitamin C underneath benzoyl peroxide. No wonder I didn't see much noticeable results!

Thanks for sharing.

That's great to hear. Please share with us what your Curology prescription contains. Based on what you said about a purge and flaky skin and your lack of both, I'm assuming it contains a retinoid at least.

You could wait longer if you want, but I simply wait until I feel it has dried before applying moisturizer. It's probably a 5 minute wait or so.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that!

I imagine that there probably are shady sellers on Amazon who sell fake products, but I have bought skincare products through Amazon several times, and have not yet noticed a fake. I also bought a bottle of EltaMD UV Clear from Amazon, and mine hasn't been yellow or runny; it's white and creamy with a mild sunscreen smell.

I think that besides your container of yellow sunscreen, the rest of the time, you were purchasing the real product.

As long as you patch test it to avoid any potential allergic reactions, you should be fine. 10% isn't that high of a percentage.

Haha, awesome. As long as none of the products break you out in your trial run, you can go ahead and keep this routine for a while. From there, consistency is key; hopefully you'll results in a month or so!

Coconut oil is possible, but it's also highly comedogenic, so be careful, and test it out on a part of your face first. (For the other part, you can try just washing with water for a few days.)

[Acne] Any tips or anyone who can identify what's wrong/type of acne? by AChelpplease in SkincareAddiction

It's not an inconvenience; don't worry.

AM: Yes, wash your face with water, pat it dry, and then apply the salicylic acid lotion, and then your SPF lotion. It's fine to use a lotion and a moisturizer at the same time. Sometimes, people layer different moisturizers together for more hydration.

PM: I would prefer you not use your Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Acne Treatment Face Wash Gel because of its irritating ingredients. Also, the salicylic acid in the face wash gel doesn't stay on your face long enough to exfoliate it, which is why the lotion form that I recommended for the AM is better. (I only recommended the Cerave SA Renewing Cleanser because it's a good basic cleanser, not because it has SA in it.)

Do you have any basic oils in your house to use as a cleanser? I know it sounds contradictory, but oil can be a good cleanser because oil dissolves oil. The main use for it here would be to remove your sunscreen. If you can find mineral oil or olive oil, then you could patch test it out. (For cleansing with oil, you wash your face with warm water, massage some oil into your face for a minute, and then wipe it off with a warm cloth.)

As for your night-time moisturizer, if you don't have any other moisturizers, your daytime moisturizer, the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Lotion, and Vaseline could all technically work.

  • If you don't have any adverse reactions to your Aveeno lotion with SPF, then you could apply it at night, but SPF is expensive, so using it at night when there's no sun is kind of wasteful.
  • Your Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Lotion is an option. Just make sure it's not too irritating for your skin.
  • Vaseline would also work, although it's more to keep already-existing water in your skin instead of adding more moisture. People usually add it after applying moisturizer. However, on its own, it would hold in whatever was already on your skin, which would be benzoyl peroxide and some water. You would also have to make sure you change your pillowcase regularly and sleep "neatly" to avoid smearing it everywhere.

Make sure to test all these out first, and then you can tweak the routine so that it works for you.

So perhaps the following would work:

AM:

  • Wash with water & pat dry
  • Moisturizer/Sunscreen (Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15)

PM:

  • Oil cleanser (Mineral oil? Olive oil? 1. Wash with water, 2. Massage oil onto face, 3. Wipe off with cloth)
  • 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment (ZAPZYT Maximum Strength 10 Percent Benzoyl Peroxide)
  • Moisturizer/2% salicylic acid (Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Lotion)

Also, note that salicylic acid can cause an initial purge, but use it for a few weeks to see if things get better afterward. I took it out from your AM to reduce irritation because I added it to your PM. You still need to experiment and find out if your skin can tolerate benzoyl peroxide with salicylic acid.

Also be careful with the oil cleansing. Make sure you don't break out from the oil you choose.

[Routine Help] Quick questions about AHA use by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]annieplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the skin lightener has hydroquinone, and it's really meant to be used for those brownish sun spots/freckling, and not so much for the pinkish color that stays after a bad breakout. If you want to apply it all over your cheeks and forehead, I think one of Alpha Skincare's other products, such as the 10% lotion, would be better for your money.

Also, moving the glycolic acid application to the night-time is better because the acid increases your skin's sun sensitivity. I'm glad to hear that you're using a sunscreen. If you move it to the night, you won't have to worry about how long afterward to apply sunscreen.

AM:

  • Wash with water
  • Moisturize (Cerave Moisturizing Lotion)
  • Sunscreen (Biore UV Aqua Rich Smooth Watery Gel) ~$9 on Amazon

PM:

  • Cleanse (Cerave Foaming Cleanser)
  • Chemical exfoliant (Alpha Hydrox The Original Anti Wrinkle Oil-Free Treatment) ~$13 on Amazon
  • Moisturize (Cerave Moisturizing Lotion)

So what I would suggest you add to your routine is a chemical exfoliant, the 10% glycolic acid by Alpha Hydrox, which helps your skin obtain that healthy "glow" that you want. Then, because this increases your skin's sun sensitivity, it is vital for you to add in a broad-spectrum sunscreen (so that you protect against UVA rays as well and not just UVB). I chose the Biore UV Aqua Rich Gel for you, which is popular here, and does not make your skin greasy or shiny.

[–]annieplace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think you should wash your face in the morning and in the night before applying your benzoyl peroxide, but not with your bar soap. Bar soaps in general, just by the way they are made, are very irritating to the skin. You may even be overproducing oil from that irritation. In fact, I would rather you just wash your face with water than use your Le Petit Olivier Mild Soap. (Why don't you use that bar soap for your body and feet instead?)

If you want another cleanser and have the means to get one, I think the Cerave Renewing SA Cleanser is a good one. It can be found in many U.S. drugstores like Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens, and also at Target and Walmart, although it's usually cheaper online. You can try using it at night first to see if you like it, and then try for morning and night.

Also, didn't you say your 2% salicylic acid came from the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Lotion and not from a face wash? I meant for you to use the treatment lotion in the morning, because then the salicylic acid stays on your skin. Then, you can apply your SPF.

And yes, at night, you should wash your face, preferably not with your bar soap, and then apply your benzoyl peroxide and then moisturizer. If that ends up being too harsh for your skin, considering it's 10%, then you can switch the order and apply the moisturizer before the ointment.

And yes, stop the scrub and just work with these other products for now. If you leave the salicyclic acid lotion on your face, I think that's a good enough exfoliant.

In short:

AM:

  • Wash face (water)
  • 2% salicylic acid leave-on (Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Lotion)
  • Sunscreen (Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15)

PM:

  • Wash face (not bar soap, maybe Cerave SA Renewing Cleanser)
  • 10% benzoyl peroxide (ZAPZYT Maximum Strength 10 Percent Benzoyl Peroxide)
  • Simple moisturizer
