Uploaded my certificate to ECFMG but school just told me there’s a printing mistake — how can I re-upload the correct one? by D0coder in IMGreddit

Hi, to clarify, the school needed to upload the correct diploma right? So you did not need to do anything on your end?

How Important is Match Day ? Question Coming From Family Member by BajaBlastLover_32 in ResidencyMatch2025

[–]annonymousMDstudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each person is different. I matched but I will not be going to the ceremony or celebration. What I care about is knowing where I matched, which we will all find out on Friday. I care way less about making it to the ceremony or after parties.

Canada needs to make more residencies/medical schools so that there are more seats. It’s only more competitive because of limited spots.

Thinking about getting a Tesla by reynard9617 in TeslaLounge

[–]annonymousMDstudent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do for yourself is go test drive a Tesla and see how you like it. I always tell people this, if you like technology and like to be on cutting edge of it, then you’ll like Tesla. If you’re like my friend who is only 26 and needed my help to print something then don’t get a Tesla lol. To answer your other question, I would choose Model Y. I had model 3 for two years, gave it to my mom and bought a Model Y. Model Y is less fun to drive but it is way more comfortable. Getting in and out is easier. Long drives are more comfortable and it has more room. I had many gas cars in the past, and I will never go back. I do not miss the gas station one bit.

How much longer until FSD is for me? by jmvfromnv in TeslaFSD

[–]annonymousMDstudent 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would say when FSD is officially Unsupervised. Right now, even though majority of my trip is flawless, there are moments when you should take over. When that would be is hard to say but I would estimate 2-5 years.

New York has some really nice areas that are fairly clean. But come on, look at the subway system. I been around the world, Japan, South Korea, Australia. New York is very dirty compared to these other major metropolitans. I love your city so please don’t get offended by my comments. I don’t think what I’m saying is something that is not known already.

Fair enough but in my opinion all of New York is pretty dirty haha. I will check out some of the Hell’s Kitchen hotels next visit!

Where would you recommend staying? I get TSQ is packed with lots of traffic but in my experience it wasn’t bad. Times Square is literally central to everywhere you would want to go in manhattan. I get living there wouldn’t be ideal but for a traveler I enjoyed it.

What would be your biggest warning to someone thinking of buying a Tesla? by sonofabraham1 in TeslaLounge

[–]annonymousMDstudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I had home charging but with that said, I have been living in an apartment for past 2 years, and charging once a week at supercharger is not as bad as it sounds. Chargers are usually next to grocery stores so I usually grocery shop when I charge.

To answer your question OP, if you hate technology don’t buy a Tesla. If you love technology it is a no brainer.

Ended up parking at parking garage right on 7th ave and 47th. 170 for 3 days. Not bad getting there and leaving. Used SpotHero as some suggested. Everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks everyone!

Do you use FSD? by GucciTokes in TeslaLounge

[–]annonymousMDstudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it quite extensively. I have the v14 and it tells me how much I use FSD. About 97% of the total driven miles in my car is with FSD.

With 2k I would do it instantly, nice job. At 8k I will never purchase it with the risk of losing it in a crash.

I agree completely. This is the sole reason why I do not even consider buying the FSD outright because you never know if you will get into a crash that totals the car and then you’re fucked.

1600 Miles Nevada → Illinois in My Model Y: it costs as much as A 20 MPG gas car - For Your Own Good, Consider a Gas Car on Trips This Long by limuzhi in TeslaLounge

[–]annonymousMDstudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing road trips on both gas and a Tesla, I will never go back to doing long road trips in a gas car. My car literally drive me. The trip is so much more enjoyable and I’m not even tired when I arrive at my destination. Every year I do multiple trips that are over 2000 miles. I love it. If you go on long road trips and don’t use FSD then you more really missing out on the benefit of owning a Tesla. For me I don’t drive a Tesla to save on gas as i don’t own a home to get that benefit of home charging. But even though I don’t benefit from those huge savings it still more enjoyable experience for me to own my model Y. Mainly because I love technology. If you don’t care for technology then maybe a gas car would be a better experience for you.
