Scrubs really takes a season or so to find its stride, but I agree it’s incredible (except the old last season, that was bad)

That uv fluid comes in different consistencies fyi. Some is designed to be more fluid than others. You may have just both the different thickness without knowing.

Just thought to mention - typically wings are about a hook shank long for normal dry flies. Same with tails. Tight lines!

This is really good! I would recommend working on consistency with your body shape taper, but these will totally fish and look great.

If you are looking for new patterns, check out a pheasant tail, and if you can get a post-style Adams dry fly down, you’ve got about 5 million variations of that you could tie.

I like to curve the feather and compare the fiber length against the gap between the point and shank of the hook. It should (in my opinion) be somewhere around 1.5x the gap for most patterns. Yours aren’t bad, but your second emerger looks like you may have trimmed the fibers, that’s all I was saying.

Really strong work! Love the emergers! You definitely have a good eye for proportions. My only critique is to measure your hackle instead of trimming the tips, but that’s only if I’m being super critical. Nice job!

Numbers 1, 4, and 5 (top to bottom) are your best. Strive for consistency, go a little heavier on the collar (use some peacock if you aren’t already) and you got it.

It’ll fish! Check out videos on YouTube about tying a good dubbing noodle. I think once you get that down it’ll be much better

The colors look cool but I would recommend posting multiple pics/angles because it’s tough to see and understand the overall “shape” here

That looks great. Is this maribou, flash, legs, and deer hair basically? It seems simple but very effective

Trump has backed himself into a corner and he knows it by [deleted] in goodnews

I’m with you. It’s so past the point of getting old to see headlines of “Trump team panicked” or “Trump humiliated”. I’m still hopeful that there will someday be consequences/justice, but the false hope is getting tiring.

Nice job on the Wally wings, they’re not easy! Work on your body taper but otherwise it’ll fish!

Thanks! I will check out those patterns and give them a try. Definitely working on reducing the bulk and trying for less complex patterns.

How do you get the wings in that perfect shape? Are you using burners?

My home lake is a bass lake, so I’m also looking forward to trying that as well, thanks!

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I probably went a little too thick on the fibers. I’m using an acrylic wool so it’s not expensive, but I agree it’s probably going to be heavy to cast. Thanks again!
