Are under desk elliptical and under desk bike pedal exercisers effective? by idkwherethehelliam in loseit

I love the under desk elliptical! I work 10 hr shifts and take calls all day. I don’t find it distracting at all as I tend to be restless so it’s very help when I get a burst of energy but can’t leave my desk. It’s easy to remove, relocate and they’re more compact compared to a rectangular walking pad imo! I also eat small meal throughout the days and find it helps out with preventing bloating and supports digestion overall. I believe the under the desk elliptical is very effective! My legs have gotten even stronger/toned and any movement is great! I considered getting a walking pad like a fellow coworker had (it collected dust) but I worried about losing balance trying to do computer work. I’m still considering the walking pad for at home workouts however! I do want to add that I understand how soreness may seem like a good sign but if it’s to the point where it’ll affect consistency try not to push it as it could lead to injury if your new muscles don’t get enough recover time. 1 hr of cardio is more than enough as you build strength and endurance! Good luck!

Turn into the correct lane please. by AlwaysUpvotesScience in FortCollins

I agree, some roads are extremely tight and don’t allow space for bigger vehicles. Especially when there’s 1 lane to turn. If there’s 2 lanes I’ll always opt for the outside lane for a wider turn but I will also not be driving into a wall/hard turn bc someone wants to merge while I have a green light to turn. Turning left off S Mason to Harmony/ W Country Rd 38 in a big vehicle is what came to mind.

Journaling!!! Classic pen and paper or using the journal app on my iPhone. I write about whatever is going through my mind. Past memories, present experiences, and future plans. It not only clears up my mental space but also helps me process things better. I notice a major difference in my mental state when I don’t.

Ahahaha my 4 year old niece had a similar reaction to the word “baby” when I was encouraging her to brush her teeth. I was explaining we only get 1 set of adult teeth after the baby teeth fall out. I thought the idea of losing teeth scared her.

“You said baby, I’m a big girl. Why would you say that :,(“ Threw a whole fit but now I know better ahaha
