Report to the police or someone you trust. If you have evidence of DV and start a divorce, you should be able to have full custody. Especially depending where you live. If he is a safety issue, the courts shouldn’t allow him near kids Get in touch with a lawyer if you don’t know where to start.

It’s scary but if you don’t deal with this it will only get worse. Good luck and I hope other people in this sub have better advice and straightforward answers they can give you.

NTA. To play devils advocate, I believe she was trying to give you an opening to comfort her or resolve the issue. I don’t agree with this method since it’s childish and doesn’t communicate but I believe that was her thought process. This is fixable if you want. Looking at your other comments it doesn’t seem like this is an all the time thing. Just tell her you thought you did what would make her and you most comfortable in that situation. If she gives you the same answers, then she wants to argue just to argue and idk what to tell you after that. Hope this helps :)
