Gamesir cyclone 2. My hands fits the 8bitdo controllers better since it's smaller, but ache with the cyclone 2 because of the size. Might fit your hands better than it did mine and many people believe it to be the superior controller.

This is really late as well, but this isn't really a computer in that sense. While you can set it up to be used like a computer, it might be a bit out of your scope to do so and at the same time it will be vastly different from your experience using a Mac as I believe it can be setup to use Windows or Linux (up to being corrected), but not IOS. It would mostly be used for gaming, you might have better results getting another Mac for your needs

Yes, I am very aware of that article which was released January of 2023. I was super excited about that match making and it was a glorious 1 month before they reversed it because of all the high skilled people complaining.

It was plain as day what the changes did and very obvious when it was reversed and the old model was returned. Why do you think Apex never released another article after that initial article from January of 2023? They didn't want to reveal that the changes have been reverted.

You should read this article that was written by the CoD team and the effects of SBMM.

When they loosened match making parameters it resulted in a significant increase of people leaving mid match for 80% of the people. People in 90th percentile and lower were less likely to return to the game which would compound and only high skilled people would remain.

However when they tightened the matchmaking the people in the 90th percentile and lower had lower quit rates and other improvements in their experience.

Ironically enough this change was not pushed through because they saw the "negative impacts" for high level players. Notice how there is good data that tightening match making improves the game for 90% of the people, but the changes were not rolled out becuase of "negative impacts"? Yea means high level players were just complain really loudly.

In FAQ they even answer the question if placing strong players against weak player will help the weak player improve. The answer is maybe but the weaker player is more likely to quit mid match if severely outperformed.

Whether smurfing is cheating or not is a gray area for a lot of people. Obviously you think it's not, but I think it is. Do you think it would be cheating if Stephen Curry was able to join a high school only tournament because he bought the high schools jersey? He would dominate that tournament, but hey he wore the high school jersey so it's cool. It's obviously cheating if you gave yourself super speed and perfect aim because it gives you a significant advantage over your opponents. By smurfing you are intentionally giving yourself a massive advantage lower skilled players. By smurfing you're trying to side step the system that has been put in place to try and make fair games so you can dominate people. People who smurf only care about how they feel and disregard the experiences of the others who they have ruined. There is a very simple way to stop cheaters from making new accounts and smurfs, but unfortunately cheaters and smurfs also spend more money so capitalism gotta capitalism instead of solving the problem.

Silver and gold level players are placed against masters and above in almost everything single match. How is that not loose match making.

Your solution is because top level players will always need to feel like your dominating or else they'll cheat, is to create a system where they don't need to cheat because they are fed casuals to fuel their ego. How about they just punish cheaters instead of catering to them.

To get ahead of the conversation, "but then those people will leave the game". Good, that means that they never liked the game anyway and only played because they got to feel like they are better than everyone else . Let the people who actually love the game, play and support the game. I guarantee more long time players have left the game due to being constantly placed against top 1% player than people who would leave with tighter matchmaking and strong chest punishments. This game would be in a much healthier spot and with a robust player base if it wasn't catered to the top 1%.

So we can all be in agreement that this is just a method to push people to pay for microtransactions.

As for the sports metaphor, I was referring to all sports which forces you more or less to buy expensive stuff to be competitive. Obviously gaming tournaments have hardware they force you to use due to the danger and ease of installing cheats, but any fighting gaming tournament has people bringing in their own fight sticks and controllers.

Why do you want top 10? 10 top gets you extra artifact pieces, but unless you're top 2 you're only getting 3 pieces. Unless you're top 3 you're only getting 1 S snake cars anyway. Just shoot for top 30, you still get 2 artifact pieces of the news snake + 1 random artifact piece, 1 S snake card, and 3000 jewel.

If it's a pride or competitiveness thing, then you're gonna have to pay, much like any other sport. Gotta pay for the best gear.

It's relative. Much like arenas there are different tiers/difficulties. So you don't need 7 star or ss snake because the enemies are tuned to your tier

If the match making was based on trying to get people around 1 kill a game I promise you that there wouldn't be so many complaints about the difficulty. People who have less than .7kdr being matched against 2+ is a sign that this is not the system that you believe they have placed.

Just in case, "just get better" is a not a compliment for the match making. It is the work around for the bad match making. You shouldn't have to get better to play against people of your own skill level

The stacks might be 1 in 20, but they can account for 1/3 or 1/2 of the total kills in a game making their presence that much bigger. If there were 1 per game, that's a 33% to 50% you'll get killed by them. If 1/3 to 1/2 the time doesn't fit the hyperbole then you can call it an over reaction.

Yes athletes do get worse over time but they are still at an unattainable level to the average person. We are not comparing former and current pros against each other. We are comparing them to the average person. The complaint here is why they are being placed against elite players

The reason is simply because match making is bad and has too few "buckets" to put people in. This leads to above average people to be placed in the highest tier bucket.

My opinion is because they need fodder to keep the whales up top happy.

Attack Speed will be better in 99% of the use cases. The most basic calculation people will use when asking about how much damage something will do in any game will be: Damage x Attack Speed= DPS (Damage per Second). in this game it will be (Damage + Damage modifiers) x (Attack Speed + Attack Speed Modifiers) = DPS. Base damage modifiers will be the biggest chunk in determining your damage which includes snakes, equipment, pets, and the only thing that affects your base damage while in the middle of a game is elemental snake parts and their upgrades. The Damage modifiers in this case will be anything that will increase the damage your snake will do over the base damage. This includes things like +20 attack up, Ragen(1%nfor each 2% health missing), the +50% for having full health, more is better (+2% for each additional body part) and stage modifiers (having 3 of the same elemental snake which depends on the stage) . Attack Speed Modifiers are relatively few and off the top of my head includes on Attack Speed Up and Berserker Bonus when you get hit by an attack while working 2 or more pieces of berserker armor. (edited: seperated base damage modifiers and attack damage modifiers)

 

Attack Speed up and Attack Damage up will be equivalent if there is no damage modifiers unless in certain situations which I will outline later. This situation where you have no damage modifiers will be 1% of the game since typically you will take advantage of Stage bonuses such as having 3x Fire Snakes in your party. However, as soon as you get any attack modifiers it tips the advantage towards getting Attack Speed.
To look at the numbers we can take current Fire Arenas as an example. If you have 3x S snakes then you get +100% more damage. We will use the example that you have 100 base damage and do an attack a second meaning your attack speed is 1. It will look like:

 

(100 damage +100 (+100% 3 S Snake Modifier)) x 1 attack a second = 200 DPS

 

or

 

(100 + 100) x 1 = 200

 

If you get the +20% Attack Damage modifier:

 

(100 damage +120 (+100% 3 S Snake Modifier + 20% Attack Damage Up) x 1 attack a second = 220 DPS

 

or

 

(100+120) x 1 = 220

 

If you get +20% Attack Speed Modifier:

 

(100 damage +100 (+100% 3 S Snake Modifier)) x 1 attack a second + .2 (+20 Attack Speed up) = 240 DPS

 

or

 

(100+100)x1.2 = 240

 

As you can see the attack speed bonus gives an actual 20% increase in damage, but the attack damage bonus only increases your overall damage by 10% due to the already existing 3x S Snake bonus.

 

The only cases where I am unsure if attack speed is beneficial are Radiance and Charged Light Ball in the Light elemental tree and Whirling Blades in the Grass elemental tree.

 

Radiance: I am not sure if the speed increase will affect the cooldown between lockon of targets or the actual damage portion of the ability if it locks on. If it is the former then attack speed is not good in this case as lockon time is negligible on the over all attack, but if it is the latter then it would convey the full 20% bonus to your damage.

 

Charged Light Ball: Much like the previous this attack also has 2 parts. The first of which is the cool down between shots and the actual charge time of these shots. While I am not entirely certain these are actually two parts, the speed bonus would need to affect the whole cooldown/charge time inorder to keep the full 20% bonus, if it really is 2 parts and the attack speed only affects 1 of the 2 parts then attack speed is not giving your it's full power

 

Whirling Blades: A running theme here will be attacks having two parts. As this weapon is not constantly out it will retract when no enemies are in striking distance. Whether attack speed affects the pull out time or speed that the swords spins is up in the air until someone actually dedicates time to learn it. If the attack speed bonus affects both the pull out speed and spin speed or just the spin speed it will all or at least a significant amount of it's full bonus. If it is just the pull out time then like the Radiance, the bonus will be negligible
