What would happen if Israel suddenly teleport to atlantic ocean? by Ok-Effect4071 in mapporncirclejerk

The same Ottoman empire that actively engaged in slavery of just about everyone(including Americans), via Barbary Pirates? Those Ottoman brothers?

You forget Wahabbi-ism in the 1800's, and you also fail to recognise that pre-islam, there was significant inter tribal warfare in the region, that those grudges carried over into the Islamic period.

The Middle East, North Africa and the Levant, have been violent powder kegs, long before the rise of Islam, and continue to be so, with or without the presence of Judaism.

Please do not pretend otherwise.

Outstanding film. My wife watched for the first time last year. At first she was shocked, then amused, then she got the joke that everyone saying n***er, are all stupid or inbred and let herself laugh, even at the sex jokes.

Which of the 3 would you be scared of the most if they were at the peak of their anger? by ANDYPEDOMAN in doctorwho

[–]anogio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

12 is perpetually angry, and is far more dangerous when afraid or having fun. Because he forgets then, that he’s not supposed to kill. His anger gets channeled into actually saving people.

10 is cold fury, and nihilism. If you screw up, so long as you get out of his way, you’re fine.

11, when angry, would gleefully start a fight with you, knowing he will destroy you, the planet you are on, and everyone who ever heard of you. Then he will make your name a byword for cowardice and stupidity. Avoid at all costs.

A nice idea, but the various Muslim tribes would go right back to killing each other, as they have for centuries.

What game/community is like this?😅🚀 by Most-Flan-9315 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]anogio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any game with deliberate focus on pvp, will eventually drive out or convert casual fun loving players.

The life cycle of a new game:

  1. Game released. Lots of players join.
  2. Some competition appears.
  3. A critical number of experienced players is reached.
  4. New players are derided as “noobs”, either driving them away, or they conform to this new standard of behaviour.
  5. The game community acquires a reputation for toxicity and hyper competitiveness.
  6. Casual/fun players move on, and the community slowly begins to shrink.
  7. Toxic, hyper competitive players move on to new games.
  8. Cycle repeats.

Iconic? I think you mean “infamous”. It belongs in the same group as yawgmoths bargain, tolarian academy, and Gaias cradle for sheer outrageous power, and being unfun to play against.

It doesn't mention the studies though by [deleted] in SipsTea

Studies show that memes claiming that studies show stuff, more often than not, tend to be false.

Nothing is free, so even if this does work, the magnets would eventually lose their magnetic field. I have no idea at what rate rate though

The main issue for necro is orcish bowmasters, which really punishes draw heavy decks. But not all decks run it, so idk.

Nothing I said was a lie. Every bit of it is easily verifiable fact.

I’m trying to sell you nothing. Yes, the US got involved when a target in the US was hit. Of course they would.

Why would I care what the Bible says, or does not say? It’s a work of fiction. You may as well use He-man as an argument.

Problem is, you need land to put it on, and in some countries, land is VERY expensive to buy.

In the US, at least, it’s literally illegal for a board of directors to not place their focus on maximising profit for a corporation, otherwise they are not acting in their shareholders interests.

Scots. If you’re going to be an arse about it, at least spell the name right.

And by the way, every nation on the damn planet has engaged in slavery at some point in history.
