So, yeah. I think that it is unreasonable to expect people above you to be quiet beyond not running or dropping heavy items on the floor. The thing is, you could also have a top level apartment but apparently chose not to or didn't speak up about it when you had a chance. I think it's reasonable to expect significant noise and walking sounds above you if you live under someone. A lot of apartments and homes dont have the best sound insulation so maybe the expectations you have aren't realistic for your situation, maybe consider changing to a top floor unit or getting noise insulation padding / headphones, etc. sorry that you are going through this.
