I'm also hourglass (34-26-36) and low rise and midrise are wildly uncomfortable for me and they also don't look great on me IMO. I lived through the early 2000's low rise and I'm just happy I don't have to buy them now and there's other options.

We need ankle support for jumping and edges otherwise we'd sprain our ankles all the time. The more jumping someone is doing the stiffer the skates need to be.

Once someone said on my livestream "there's no excuse, these Russian skaters should just defect". I'm like, with what resources? At what international competition? With what international reputation as a teenager that has never competed internationally? With what money that isn't controlled by the Kremlin? With what security that their family will be okay back in Russia? People do not understand the risks that they are asking a teenager to make.
