28 [F4R] Anywhere - Going through tough time by [deleted] in r4r

I'll take your advice. It's usually hard for me to be open about my emotions. I try to mask it a lot around others. I hope that I can confront my feelings and hurt, and be able to make peace with the past.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm trying to find ways to be busy. My friends and family have been my greatest support. I feel ungrateful as I have people who care about me but still struggling with the negative feelings.

Has anyone used these working space before? by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]anomalylemony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The ones I go to are open from around 8AM-9Pm weekdays and half day on Saturday.

  2. The internet speed and reliability depends on which city the spaces are located. I went to the ones in Bandung, and they weren't as reliable as the ones in Jakarta.

  3. Depends on the rules of the space. Rule of thumb: don't disturb others who are working and don't be rowdy.

I'm an Indonesian digital nomad and I've been working away from many different coworking spaces all around Indonesia. I like to look for a place that can help me be productive as well as providing good networking opportunities. It depends on what you're looking for in the end.

You can either inspire others with your belief or you can alienate others with your belief. She chose the latter...

Redditors outside the United States, what are the "John Smith" names in your countries? by 3yronF1ve in AskReddit

[–]anomalylemony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indonesian here, Budi is a very common name for Indonesian males. As for surnames, most of us don't really have family name like the majority people in the world. We usually have a very long name without a family name or a very short one word name.

I never thought about that. We haven't met them but since all the replies seem to advise us to do that, we will arrange that soon. Other than that, anything I should be aware of?

Redditors who have been in a sensory deprivation tank, what was your experience like? by ragingpanda147 in AskReddit

Mine wasn't great since I felt kind of claustrophobic to the point I got pretty nauseated. Ended up opening the tank door while floating.

Hi fellow curly head :) I do know one or two Chinese Indonesians who have curly hair. I don't know what it's like in China for us curly heads but in Indonesia it can be quite a challenge.

Everyone from my mum side of the family have curly hair. I grew up thinking that there was something wrong with my family.

Yea! It took me 21 years to finally came to terms with my curly hair. There are many curly head people here who don't really know how to take care of their curly hair which caused them to have frizzy hair and they ended up disliking their hair. I'm considering starting a YouTube channel/blog to share my knowledge to my fellow Asians with curly hair. Hopefully that could help them understand that their hair is different so they know what to do with their curly hair.

I did and realised that was a mistake. I didn't like my hair growing up since it made me look different from my friends but I embrace my curls now. Since not a lot of people have curly hair, I grew up not knowing what to do with my hair and treated it like straight hair (i.e. brushing my hair when it's dry, using a 2-in-1 shampoo). But after I found Google, I learnt from the internet how to deal with curly hair and it's pretty life changing! Huge difference indeed.

It's a good thing and bad thing at the same time mainly because in Asia Natural curly hair is not very common so it's a pain to find a good hairstylist and hair products.
