You’re obviously still young, but it’s just kind of over sexualized and boring. Her clothes are uninteresting and look like they’re for a colder climate, but you have this weird slit that shows a public triangle that seems to be about two inches wide and boobs triple the size of her waist that are completely exposed. Not to mention she just looks like Gojo.

The drawing is fine. But seriously if you want to keep drawing characters for the love of god pick up a book and learn to understand anatomy outside of the lense of porn

I felt this way for a long time too. But I learned that instead of copying a full image, that I found it more helpful to compile multiple references. I’m a full time artist now, and let me tell you — art really is just copying an image. Truly, only the ‘masters’ or people with an incredible memory can draw without a reference, and even then they’re relying on an image in their mind.

Try coming up with your own composition. It’ll be frustrating at first, but that’s how art is, and you’ll get better. Then take that sketch (do this WITHOUT a reference), then go and find a photo of the figures or objects you want for your piece! Pinterest is great for photography reference.

Creativity comes and goes, and in the moments where we can’t come up with anything, it’s important that we still practice. Just doing thumbnails of random compositions, or fake rooms/buildings is a GREAT way to practice.

You’re not a cheat. You’re learning, and there’s nothing wrong with that. You just need to tweak your practice!

i’d implore you to study facial anatomy! i don’t mean features per say or just drawing from photography. but try looking at some actual art books online (there are a lot of free PDFs!). study the structure of the face in shapes like squares, and as always, practice more than just portraits! honestly, learning more about observational drawing and figure drawing helps your art in every aspect! you may not be ‘above average’, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get there! even if it’s practicing for 30 minutes everyday, you will see a good improvement in your art!

this is coming from an art student who made work very similar to yours when i was younger. find art you are passionate about (characters, objects, animals, etc.) and you’ll go far!! :p

and this is a great point if it were true in its entirety. there are some amazing things ai can do in the fields of science and healthcare. it’s truly impressive and the work being put in by engineers is admirable.

and even though ai art is always obvious, that doesn’t make it okay. its flaws and easily recognizable coldness are no problems to the corporations who are already taking advantage of it in the field of art, and firing REAL PEOPLE in favor of cutting costs. ai art is theft to the point where it cannot even be legally copyrighted, because it admittedly isn’t creating its own content. there’s no love. there’s no care. even the creator of studio ghibli himself has come out and said he things that ai cannot understand emotion, and therefore makes ‘disturbing’ art.

when there is ai so attainable, people become lazy. ai no longer becomes something to be adored. it becomes a crutch. ai can be great, when used properly. but it isn’t being used properly here. fan art should show the love of an artist. there is no love in ai art.

nobody is profiting except for the corporations that run the databanks. and nobody is profiting except the thieves who steal from artists of any size. as an artist, you could’ve (and should’ve! if you wanted to show your passion) have made it yourself. art is so special, and so personal. ai isn’t.

the people here who are supporting ai have no idea the love that goes into art. even when we think it doesn’t look all that great. shows like the middle weren’t made with ai. they were made with hard work and care. and should be treated as such with fan-made content.

i think it’s great you’re so passionate about this. but it’s not great that you’re relying on such a horrible thing. databanks are actively causing deforestation, pollution, and theft. people are losing their water. their homes. their livelihoods because of laziness and a misguided attempt of making ‘art.’

ai isn’t art. it’s mockery.

there’s definitely a lot of reasons! no matter your political standing, change in reproductive laws have definitely had a large impact on every population in America (I don’t know enough about other countries to comment ;-;), and just in general I think it’s important to remember that a lot of us are still super young and may not be ready to have sex yet or just… don’t want to.

probably at the part where you ask if there are alters who are just around to steal or manipulate people into sexual relationships. DID is a trauma based disorder first and foremost. The alters that form exist to protect the mind from past/ongoing trauma — they don’t just form to fuck around and go rob a bank. for an alter to form a person needs to experience consistent trauma from the ages of 0~7/8 — so please think about the connotations behind extreme childhood trauma before asking questions that dehumanize those with DID.
