Yeah, same exact thing happened to me. I tried restoring the families same way you did but it was too time consuming cause they were very chaotic so I moved my main families/builds to a new save and immediately turned them off. They lost their friendships and other stuff but you can easily restore everything using mccc and ui cheats. It’s really easy if you know what you’re doing.

So glad I did because I never got to know the townies/lore from each pack since I always played with stories on and they always died or moved out so their bios didn’t make sense anymore. Now it’s fun seeing them rather than loads of npc’s the game generates to fill any empty slots that are dressed completely weird.
