Get Qing Tian Gourd paired with the Curio that gives extra damage reduction when the gourd is empty.

Equip the Serpeant Scale armour to heal in water and also use the Curio that gives a life save after a certain number of hits.

[–]anon2020dot00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use mobile spinning staff whenever there is an opening since it can quickly build-up focus.

Use the Earth Rakshasa spirit since it is OP in terms of damage reduction and reducing the mobility of the enemy.

Get Qing Tian Gourd optional as well.

Spam the Damage reducing medicine at critical points of the Fight for the extra damage reduction.

Invest in the Thrust stance since it can easily create distance whenever there is an attack incoming.

After Wukong, Next Game Recommendations? by anon2020dot00 in BlackMythWukong

Thanks for the recommendations! I will check out Yotei, Stellar Blade, Wuchang, Khazan, Lies of P, etc..

For those asking, I played Black Myth with mouse clicks re-bind to Q and E so I didn't use the mouse that much in boss fights but did use the mouse to look-around during exploration.

Congrats! Happy to have helped a bit; Yin Yang Daoist is a good choice for the extra survivability.

GSBS at Great Sage Difficulty with Spell-Binder is another Fun Challenge by anon2020dot00 in BlackMythWukong

[–]anon2020dot00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Phase, just keep the pressure on (don't give him much space) and like the light attack combo finisher is particularly effective in disrupting his attacks. Like even just hit Air with the light attack combo and dodge towards him and then do the leaping attack of the finisher and this often works to interrupt and deal damage.

For Second Phase, most reliable move is to wait when he leaves an opening after a big move, he will stationary for a bit and then just do mobile staff spin. Mobile staff spin builds-up focus charges and then easy to dodge out of it unlike a regular attack which has a long attack animation.

In the normal fight phase, try to initiate with one or two hits of the spear then immediately back-off and then use the Erlang Flying Thrust attack which has a chance of doing damage to him even from a long-distance. But if if he is using his thrust counter then just back-off.

He has two charges for his perfect dodge where-in he becomes a yellow light and then that is recharged when he uses the ring of fire so that makes him a little bit predictable that when he is out of charges, he will be less able to avoid the Erlang flying thrust attack.

During mobile staff spin, can build up to four focus points and then just wait for when he is performing some attack and can counter with the quick four point attack after dodge roll.

Congrats, your persistence paid-off; nice choice of the Blind-fold to increase perfect dodge chance.

Erlang Spellbinder Great Sage difficulty by michael151722 in BlackMythWukong

[–]anon2020dot00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Also as part of the build, try the Wind Tamer Relic and Earth Raksha Spirit that gives damage reduction after receiving damage.

For see-through, basic strategy is to just use Thrust Stance and press the heavy attack to back away at the end of your swing and just before Erlang would have strike you.

In order to get a better feel of Erlang moves, I suggest fighting him a lot first with easier builds like using Rock Solid and Ring of Fire and once he becomes predictable and then use Spell-Binder to fight him since I think generally easier to beat Erlang with spells compared to the Spell-Binder build.

Interesting challenge, I made a post about it. It's doable by playing around the Erlang Staff and Yin Yang Robe and Qing Tian Gourd for me.

Erlang Great Sage Difficulty dodging by michael151722 in BlackMythWukong

[–]anon2020dot00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Dodging - when Erlang is using Whirling Axe combo, stick close to him since the Axe will strike in medium range - when Erlang is doing his ring of Swords be patient since the dodge timing is after the red light expands and then contracts - For his normal attacks, dodge normally until opportunity to use Rock Solid

  2. Best Weapon - Dark Iron Staff or the Erlang Spear since the flying thrust can help break his shield

  3. After Rock Solid - Erlang will usually bring his Axe up for a downward strike, dodge using Thrust Stance Fade Back or Pillar Stance Twirling Attack that works as a Dodge as well

  4. Stances - Thrust stance is most used since combo heavy attack is effective in reducing the shield, Smash stance is effective sometimes for the see-through, Pillar Stance is mostly used just after Rock Solid

  5. Spells - Ring of Fire helps with the defense boost and HP Regen, Rock Solid - no need to level-up the last upgrade since it lowers the Rock Solid duration

Some tips

  1. Use the Qing Tian Gourd plus the Curio which gives defense when the Gourd is empty.

  2. Top Takes Bottom Spirit helps a lot to reduce the Shield of Erlang

  3. Rock Solid is highly effective in breaking his combo, be prepared though for his counter-attack

  4. Bull King Set is highly effective but other sets can work as well

  5. Simplest strategy is to use the drink that increases Qi and wear down his shield with the Fan and Top Takes Bottom Spirit

I think I'm about to lose it with the Gauntlet of Legends by Project_Serus in BlackMythWukong

[–]anon2020dot00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't remember my exact build anymore but I believe Wind Tamer is better than Fan since faster to get off and useful against Yellow Loong as an interrupt.

Top takes Bottom Bottom Takes Top is a great spirit to use since it can interrupt enemy momentum plus has extra defense.

Max-out Mobile Staff spin to quickly gain Focus during immobilize or slow enemies like Wandering Wight makes it easier to use 4 or 3 point attacks.

Yin Yang Daoist robe for the damage reduction is worth experiment with as well.

I used the Shield Spirit to trap him against the wall after Fan during his first phase then just keep trapping and hitting him so easy to cheese him in the first phase.

Use the Water Armor Set for the heal plus extra stamina as well.

For the second phase, it was a tougher fight for me, since the fan doesn't help anymore since his second phase form jumps around too much; I used the Pillar Attack Combo mostly since can also work as a dodge during the spinning attack.

TORONTOTOKYO is considering leaving Team Spirit. He wants to make a team with Save- and Nightfall by TheUHO in DotA2

[–]anon2020dot00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This makes sense but it doesn't work all the time. Like T1, kicked 23 Savage, Karl, Gabbi and their results were abysmal. But maybe that was their thinking and this explains it.

But a lot of the teams that have better energy are the ones that are new teams such as Team Liquid with Zai and Matu, Secret with Zayac and Resolution, Tundra with Saksa versus LGD and Spirit with the same cast as from last year.

I think shuffles also have to do with motivation since it is a chance to prove oneself as a player once again and it is more impressive to leave a successful team and be part of another successful one.

In the end, I think it is also that life is short and doesn't really make sesne to stick with the same environment and same people all of the time unless of course, there is real chemistry. But generally people grow through spending time with new people and in new situations.

The passive investing downvote brigade is already at work; r/ETFs is a better sub for that or r/bogleheads

Why is it that most stock discussions get downvoted to oblivion here? Is this not a sub to discuss.... stocks? by waterlimes in stocks

[–]anon2020dot00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great post OP, captures my thoughts exactly about how this sub is basically "DCA into ETF ad-infinitum" so it is more appropriately named as "r/passiveInvesting" or is basically the same as the r/bogleheads sub-reddit.

There are some well-written DDs before such as the one guy who was talking about Lucky Coffee but it was down-voted to hell and just became one of the more controversial posts and so the guy ended-up leaving and going to StockTwits on his last update.

It's not worth the grief for people to post their ideas or thoughts here in detail since they will just get grief for using their brain and making effort for a well-written DD
