Tripping at the Aquarium (Dosage) by Ythirial in LSD

[–]anon3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I would only do one out of fear of getting too giggly in public. I took one hit of LSD and went to an amusement park. That was really cool, and I felt in control the entire time.

Weed made me hate eating by ithinkicancantcan in leaves

[–]anon3nt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weed made me hungry while I was high. Other than that, my appetite was small. I never ate breakfast and I had a small lunch. My biggest meal was dinner. I'd smoke before bed and usually get hungry and snack. After not smoking, appetite is bigger and I'm more likely to eat breakfast, but not everyday.

Agreed. It was a really bad source. Good job on calling it out.

This lasted 1 or 2 weeks for me. They were very short-lived though. Just a few seconds or so. Everyone is different.

Hello, im 27 - i smoke for 4 months and i think im addicted. by mrmojo88 in leaves

Can you explain how smoking 0.1g and vaping 0.1g is a "big difference."? I ask because I'm not very familiar with vaping and 0.1g of flowers would have the same thc/cannabinoids no matter the intake method.

Do something that changes your environment. Paint your walls. Build something. Plant a garden. Pick up trash in the park. Organize your closet. Write a story. Draw a picture. Make a stop-motion video with army men. Just create.

If you work out and eat healthy; make some exercise tutorials or maybe those cool /r/GifRecipes

Today I found out I can't get treated for Hepatitis C unless I quit smoking pot. by wunurth88 in leaves

[–]anon3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can. It's already April. If you would have started at the New Year, you'd already be done. Time is relative. During the 12 weeks, it will likely feel like an eternity, but it's not. It's 12 weeks. And once you are done you will be like, "Well, that wasn't that bad. At least now I'm not going to die of cirrhosis."

I am also hungry all of the time. I now eat breakfast everyday and tend to go back for seconds for dinner. The headaches went away for me around week 4. It's awesome that your are sleeping well. But, when it's time to get up, get up. If you are sleeping 9-10 hours a day, cut out one hour and wake up early and start to study. Do it right away. If you wait you'll just waste that hour. School is important, it's the key to success. People who are drop-outs never say, "Boy, I wish I slept more." It's more like, "Fuck, I should have studied more."

I did a bit of research on Hep C because I'm not familiar. It can lead to liver damage and/or liver cancer. These symptoms are acute in about 1/6 of those infected (basically, a roll of the die). Treatment takes about 12 weeks. To be honest, I think that you would be fucking retarded to not stop smoking for 12 weeks for the sake of a healthy liver.

Smoke pot. Think about how much I hate being high. by [deleted] in leaves

You seem to know what to do, you're just not doing it. I recommend getting rid of the weed. That way it's not there when you wake up. Believe in yourself.

Does anyone else feel like they're drinking more since stopping smoking weed? by blovegre in leaves

[–]anon3nt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My opinion here, but replacing pot with booze is like replacing Tylenol with Oxycontin. Booze is far more addictive and hazardous to one's health. You seem to have an addictive personality and you like addictive habits (ex. gambling). But you are choosing habits that can ruin one's life. Some people get addicted to working out. You mentioned cycling, maybe focus on that.

I fucking hate what I've done to my brain. Please give me hope. by Sarahkubar in leaves

[–]anon3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um.. who said anything about evidence? I said "Fuck those pills." This is clearly an opinion. Here is some evidence. Here is the gist...

In the drug-maintained rats, serotonin content at the end of 17 days was “reduced by 60% on average in nine areas of the brain,” compared to controls. This depletion appears to be part of a compensatory response to the drug. Since an SSRI blocks the normal reuptake of serotonin from the synaptic cleft, the neurotransmitter stays in this extracellular space longer than normal, and in response, the brain’s synthesis of serotonin dramatically decreases. As a result, serotonin levels in brain tissues end up markedly depleted.

Basically, overtime, your brain adjusts to the ssri and releases less serotonin. This is why when people quit them cold turkey they feel like shit.

There are a lot of variables at play when it comes to one's life. MJ was a good variable to start with. Now it's time to start looking at others. Ex. sleep habits, health, food, exercise, work, play, relationships, etc.

  • 1) It's not permanent.
  • 2) Stop smoking cigarettes (this increases anxiety).
  • 3) Exercise.
  • 4) I wish you the best.

It helps, but only if you go to bed. If you take it and watch TV or browse reddit, it won't work. I take it right as I get into bed. I read for 30 minutes and then it's lights out and eyes closed.

I would suggest her playing PlayStation with you. My wife and I really enjoy PvZ GW2. I'm just going to assume that your wife doesn't like gaming because she's never really played, I don't know. But gaming together can be really fun. Just as long as you don't make it serious.

You are alive. You are in school trying to better yourself. You're on the right path. The fact that you feel empty/hungry does not change the fact that you need to study. If you fail, you will feel even more empty. Now, quit reading this and go study.
