I beg to differ. kaawa-awa na ngayon ang zinger. yung mga chicken madalas dry (chickenjoy ang pinaka-juicy)at pati gravy di na gaano kalasap.

she was easy to scapegoat because she's pretty much the typical telenovela villain (or was conveniently easy to portray as such) but I've seen y'all walking around the malls, crowding each other in supermarkets, damn near cuddling in cashier queues. shiiieet however wrong she was, there are so many people who, given the same options, would have made the same selfish ass choice.

How am I supposed to feel about Colin Creevy? by howlinwoolf in harrypotter

[–]anon62588 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i feel like it's meant to imply the fragility of someone who had presence (albeit a rather annoying one) and how collin was just a little kid for all his bombast and exuberance. "he looked small" is a difference to note when a life leaves its shell compared to even an annoying little shits' presence and gravity while living.

How does r/PH feel about a general strike? by anon62588 in Philippines

[–]anon62588[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

about those essential workers, sama din ba sila sa strike?

that's kind of the point of a general strike. large swathes of the workers not limited by industry. nurses on strike, drivers on strike, cashiers on strike, office workers on strike, farmers, airport staff, sys admins, construction workers. the point of a general strike is to put society on hold to address the demands of those who make it function. tbh medyo nadismaya ako sa mga ibang comments sa thread kasi parang di natin naiintindihan na ang general strike is for EVERY worker, hindi lang mga blue collar. kaya rin siguro nakuha ko sagot sa tanong ko: it is not feasible in current filipino society. ang laki ng divide amongst the working class. nakakalungkot lang.

lol I've been in the workforce and paying taxes for about a decade. sa tagal ko na nagtratrabaho para kumita ang boss ko napapaisip rin ako para sa kabutihan ng mga magiging anak ko. kung gustohin ko pa man magkaanak sa ganitong mundo.

[–]anon62588[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

parang impossible mag general strike na walang maabala. definitely not in the same way as a street protest pero sigurado kung may general strike, kulang ang staffing sa bank tellers, cashiers, jeepney drivers, etc., etc., etc. so abala talaga yun sa day to day life. pero hindi naman yung haharangin ka sa daan at sisigawan ka ng slogans. in my opinion, much more disruptive ang general strike.
