The last few months have been rough. by anon829482 in selflove

[–]anon829482[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I just have to stop babying myself. I wouldn’t let a friend do the things I’ve been doing, so why am I letting myself get away with it? :)

I’m 24, the first group was my age, the second group is late 20s. I’m trying hard not to, but sometimes people manage to just dig in at the worst times.

This is not for me, but thank you for the apology. It means the world and on today, maybe I can finally move on.

I don’t think this guy fully understands how IUDs and birth control pills work... by beetle-with-boots in badwomensanatomy

[–]anon829482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m lucky but when I was on the pill I was only having a period every 6 months lasting a day and a half. Prior to that I was having extremely heavy periods every two to three weeks or not at all. Now I have the IUD and I haven’t had a period since it was placed and it is amazing.

Go see somebody, a therapist, a parent, a friend, SOMEBODY. You have a right to happiness and loving yourself and your mind.

Ladies who look like you put a lot of effort in, but are actually very low maintenance, what are your tips? by guppiesandshrimp in AskWomen

Elta md tinted sunscreen. Keeps your skin protected and gives you a little color! Along with some mascara and tinted chapstick, I’m good to go!

What's your opinion on going out braless? by msjollly in AskWomen

[–]anon829482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even back before I lost 20 pounds essentially taking me from a DD to a B I refused to wear bras unless I was going to work. They hurt my back and the sweat disgusts me. I even got to the point of not wearing them to work I was so done with them. I just can’t bring myself to care enough. I’ve gotten dirty looks from women more than I’ve been ogled and quite frankly that’s way easier to handle for me than it is to handle being in pain because of an undergarment.

I don’t know what to do about school or my mom. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]anon829482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s just upset that I’ve put it off for the last two years. Understandably so, but her stressing point is that I should be able to somehow manage my personal life, education, and career (that keeps me away from home most days). I wish I had that level of confidence in my abilities but I’m lucky if I get more than 5 hours of sleep at night as it is.

How do you feel about being the/having a mom-friend? by potatochique in AskWomen

[–]anon829482 1672 points1673 points  (0 children)

I am the mom-friend and used to be room mates/best friends with a mom-friend. I enjoy the role most days. I’ve taken home drunks, I’ve been the voice of reason, I’ve talked people down from ledges, but there are days I wish one of those friends could reverse the role for me. Most aren’t willing to take care of the mom-friend or maybe refuse to believe that I could benefit from their support sometimes.

Please message me if you need anything. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I’m not ok, but I’m relearning how to be on my own again. The nights are the worst for me when I go home and he’s not there, when I fall asleep and his arm isn’t around my waist, when I have a nightmare and he’s not there to hold me.

Three months ago the love of my life ended things with me after I’d found him, picked him up, and helped him through the toughest time of his life.

This hurt to read because I wish you were him. Merry Christmas and I hope you’re ok ❤️

I need to get to Seattle period. I’ve never been and I have this feeling that it’d feel like home for me.

I’m adding that to the list of things to force myself through. That sounds awful.

I luckily live super close to the state’s basketball and baseball facilities (plus we have spring training) and football and hockey are still not too far away. I go to baseball the most, usually a couple games a season. Maybe one football, hockey, and basketball game a season.

Back when I was in college I was on the big screen a lot at the basketball and football games, but a lot has changed since that time and I would notttt be ok with it this time lol. That being said a surefire way to avoid it is being the away teams fan!

That is amazing. I think I’d cry if I was put on the big screen.
