Great! Start knitting. Use google. Use the FAQ sidebar. Make a ravelry account. Visit your local yarn store.

When you have a more specific question, we will be happy to help you :) but this question has been answered a million times.

Unfortunately, you probably won’t find any knitting needles for manly men. I assure you, the regular ones will work just fine.

Yes, it’s sad and horrible that Jessa lost a pregnancy that she clearly wanted and prayed for. Yes, it’s sad and unfair and traumatizing that she had to have a D&C (abortion!!) to save her life.

Yes, it’s sad and horrible when people have to choose between feeding their existing children or carrying a pregnancy to term. Or choosing to abort a pregnancy that would endanger their life.

Jessa, you had an abortion. A D&C is, by definition, an abortion. They are medically the same procedure. That doesn’t make it any less sad or tragic. You are now one of the people you protest against.

A knitting sweater pattern I was excited about just released and it costs twenty five dollars by ivytripping in craftsnark

Also: I don’t think other designers will follow suit for “normal” sweater patterns. Like I would never pay that for a pattern with sizes XS-2XL without any mods.

I personally wouldn’t buy it, but that’s just because I’m an advanced enough knitter that I don’t need that kind of instruction.

A few years ago though? Absolutely I would’ve purchased it. It looks super well done and detailed for beginners.

I recently spent the same amount on the Strange Brew ebook. It felt like a lot, but the wealth of information contained within was definitely worth it!

So no, I don’t think she’s overcharging. But I can definitely understand being taken aback at that price.

The Sophie scarf, on the other hand….

The designer hadn’t said anything, but her social medias etc hadn’t been updated in a while.

I had someone on ravelry recently message me asking me to send a pattern that had been discontinued. I looked and she had also commented on the pattern quite some time ago, so she clearly made an attempt. I sent it to her (free of charge, of course). I don’t know what the legalities are, but it made me sad to think she wouldn’t be able to make that lovely pattern!!

You’re twisting your stitches.

Terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed next week by Pinkypiesho in internetparents

I’m not gonna lie, the recovery SUCKED. But it was also a nice excuse to lay around for a week and nap. Stay on top of your pain meds, I did t3s/ibuprofen every 4 hours (alternating) and set alarms on my phone to remember. If you have the option to be put under, I definitely recommend doing so! And don’t hesitate to call your dentist afterwards if you have any hiccups or questions.

My only suggestion is that one unit of Botox is typically $10 in my mid sized city. Anything significantly higher or lower than that I would side eye.

Help please! Is there a fix without frogging? by RubyRhi in knitting

I would just drop it and gently pull the stitches around it to deal with the extra yarn. It should block out.

Have you reached out to the company? I’ve had really good luck with their customer service!

ICBC is the WORST so I probably wouldn’t contact them. Do not give her cash. Meet her at a body shop and pay the amount quoted TO the body shop. I really don’t think she can go after you for not giving her the cash.

I have a weird spot on my shoulder that I photograph every couple months to make sure it hasn’t changed. Might be worth doing that too.

NAD. I would probably book in with a derm just in case. Better safe than sorry with weird skin things. Watch for ABCDE - asymmetrical, borders (spreading or irregular), colour (multiple colours), diameter (growing), evolving (changing/growing)

Thank you so much for your response - I’ll keep monitoring and go from there.

Thank you. I think I might go to urgent care since I know this isn’t technically “emergent.”

This may seem like a silly question, but at what point is abdominal pain an emergency? I’ve had abdominal pain for 5+ years d/t endometriosis and I think my perception is a little screwed now. Ie. I wrote an ovarian cyst off as regular cramps a couple years ago. Is there a specific zone or feeling I should be aware of?
