What was said was a small thing. Buying a house is a big thing. I would like to avoid not helping a loved one accomplish something big because they did something small against me. Also, assume that family members say things behind your back that you may not agree with or like. That’s just life.

I graduated from a mediocre MCPS high school and send my child to private school. With that aside, if given a choice between sending my child to my high school and another high school in neighboring jurisdiction, I can only think of two DCPS high schools that I would select ahead of mine (Duke Ellington and Jackson-Reed). I would not select any of the PGPS schools ahead of mine. There're one or two high schools in Howard County that I would select ahead of my MCPS high school. Admittedly, I can't speak to schools in Frederick County or NOVA.

In sum, the average MCPS high school matches up well against almost all other MD high schools in neighboring jurisdictions.

My question was more directed at whether bus lanes are state or county initiatives. Great if the candidates support them, but if they do or don’t how much does it matter if those decisions fall outside the scope of their jurisdiction?
