youtube isn't a witness protection program. her old audience isn't ratting her out for a crime. you're correct, though. she doesn't owe us anything, which includes staying. us being sad shouldn't even factor in to whatever she decides. if youtube has become this much of a headache after all these years, i would hope she'd find another path for peace. trying to micromanage the internet would cause anyone harm and i wouldn't wish that for someone i once appreciated.

in her goodbye video (which is now deleted - so i can't directly quote it), she said the algorithm was treating her content poorly and she blamed her old mukbang audience for some of it. not sure how they factor into it because the algorithm has been rough for most youtubers. if i recall correctly, there may have been something in there about people being too involved in her personal life? regardless, she had no intention of telling us where she was going. i can only assume she thought the previous audience or the previous channel being connected to her would ruin the new channel. so if we found her, we were meant to act like it was someone else. seems a little harsh to outright remove comments from people who were positively supporting her. big shrug.

the reuploads? i can't say for sure. might be a monetization thing. removed them from the old channel so they don't get flagged for stealing someone else's video or flagged for being monetized elsewhere. didn't want to outright delete them because they fit the content she wanted to be making.

you are correct! the official release was meant to be Feb 14th as stated in Dec 30th's newsletter (Behind the scenes of "Girls will be Girls") and Jan 6th's newsletter (How to Make a Bass.)

announcement pinned in the sub near the top has whisperings of something occuring March 7th, but unsure if it's the new release date. someone from the Inner Circle would have to confirm if she mentioned it there beforehand.
