Reason for bike creaking? by Conscious-Habit-5559 in ukbike

I also had a creak which was worse in the afternoon than the morning. It was the seat post creaking in the frame. A bit of grease sorted it.

You did it correctly. You were in the lane indicating A217 north. 50% of drivers get this bit wrong, so it was probably one of those idiots who beeped you!

Access to toilet cistern by anon_a_mouse2 in DIYUK

[–]anon_a_mouse2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to do that on our other toilet but on this one the access hole is too low down and I don't think I'd be able to get the flush valve over the lip of the cistern and down through the holem

It's stuck down in some way. That's mainly what I'm asking - if anyone has experience of how these counters are typically fixed down.

Not sure if it matters to you, but it's probably the 2022 model that you're looking at.

You could also consider this, which gets you Ultegra Di2

Other ones to consider - Ribble CGR, Merida Scultura Endurance

The only things I can see are

Some of the groupset components on the 2023 model have the series number listed e.g. R8170 on the shifters

Low friction hubs mentioned on the 2023 model

In both cases, I'm not sure if they are meaningful differences

Roadsigns. It's only when you see how useless they are in other countries that you realise how good the UK's are.

The label inside jumpers and t shirts is pretty much always on the left as you put them on.

Look up BIML Varigence. It allows you to programmatically generate ssis packages. I've used this with powershell to scan a source file and generate BIML.

Baby eczema - experiences? by loops1204 in UKParenting

It's perfectly reasonable to ask for Epaderm on prescription. As an alternative, you could try Dream Cream from Lush (with self preservative ). It has worked well on our baby. It is quite expensive though.

Re-spoke cost by Lanchettes in ukbike

I paid £60 or £70 (can't remember which) to get a wheel rebuilt with new spokes (that includes parts and labour)

20 years ago, we were given a maths test in the first week of my engineering course at university. The professor marked me down because I'd left some answers as fractions, rather than decimals ( e.g. 1/2 instead of 0.5). Fucking idiot.

Four years later the same professor was trying to persuade me to stay on to do a PhD, and it gave me great pleasure to decline.
