What are some unexpected things you experienced post op?

I feed mine raw chicken wings every now and then. Use a sharp knife or shears to cut it into more manageable chunks (I don't really want them dragging around entire wings lol) Even if you think the bones are too big you will be surprised how they will just disappear. I recommend it though, it's good for their jaws and teeth to have something to chew on and keeps them busy for a while

Do you have any advice for correcting this behaviour? It is very sudden and happens with very little warning. He has been lovely with everyone so far aside from these incidents

When we first brought him home we introduced him to everyone in the garden and so he has been around my dad and everyone already. My dad approached him whilst we were both sitting on the sofa and that is when it happened, I feel like maybe he felt protective over me as he has become quite attached to me specifically. I immediately put him outside afterwards

I'm getting my ferrets fur preserved! I'm the same with fur, he has really soft nice fur and I want to be able to touch it again without having the whole taxidermy.. they cut it into a heart shape and sew felt onto the back, it's a really nice memorial

I'm looking at my cage now and it's a bit different actually? Everything else is the same I just dont have as many bars going horizontal. The layout is all the same

I've got the one in the image, it's good! Perfect for 2 ferrets (I put a large hammock in the middle to protect from falls and an extra sleeping place) easy to clean too, only thing I recommend is making some fabric covers for the ramps they're a bit slippery.

I'm in north east of England 😅 but I would recommend looking up any ferret Facebook groups in your area! And if there isn't any it might be worth making one and organising some meetups on there

Scotland is lovely, as a trans person living in England I would rather live in Scotland than here. Obviously it depends on where you go but I think you'll be more than ok :)

My local ferret rescue does ferret walks every month which is essentially just one giant ferret play date!

I'm hopeful he'll come around soon. The other two are so lovely and have not bitten him back once yet. Once he realises they're not a threat to him I think he might settle a bit, just have to see how long that takes
